Great album, all songs are great

Great album cd from a great rock guitarist/music writer. All 12 songs are great. My favorites "All Along The Watchtower", "The Wind Cries Mary", "Manic Depression" also has great playing by the great drummer Mitch Mitchell and if you like blues "Red House" is a great showcase for Hendrix electric blues playing. Great 12 song album cd, but I would recommend the 20 song Experience Hendrix The best of Jimi Hendrix cd instead that has 10 of the 12 songs on smash hits plus 10 other songs including the great songs "Little Wing" and "Bold As Love" which are must hear Hendrix songs plus some other songs.
What's great about it: All songs are great from a great rock guitarist.
What's not so great: Great 12 song cd, but I would recommend 20 song experience Hendrix cd

Sydney Pollack's remake of Billy Wilder's Sabrina comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. English subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include the theatrical trailer. While this Paramount release has superb picture and sound quality, the lack of extras makes it difficult to recommend to anyone other than a fan of the film.

The 1954 Original is much better

The 1954 original Sabrina is much better. I think this remake was rather pointless. They tried to change it somewhat with dialog they think is amusing. I thought the remake was boring at times. Some of the movie is somewhat ok, but the original is great. The remake was cast pretty well and with a skilled director, but I just did not have a really good feeling about the remake. The original was more charming, fun, nicer.

Great Concert!

Great dvd shows excellent concert of Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood at Madison Square Garden in New York in February 2008. For those of you who don't know they played together in a short lived band Blind Faith in 1969. They play some Winwood songs and songs from Claptons solo career, a few Blind Faith songs, a couple Jimi Hendrix songs, a Buddy Miles song and more. For those of you who are only aware of thier top hits from thier solo careers, they both have many songs to choose from and they do leave out some of thier top hits but there is great music on this dvd with great guitar playing and singing with an excellent band. The songs on this dvd sound great. Dvd also features some interesting interviews and a extra sound check piece where Clapton plays acoustic guitar that is excellent.
What's great about it: Excellent concert and interesting interviews

This DVD documents a 1996 performance from guitar god Eric Clapton. The disc offers a standard full-frame transfer. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround, DTS Surround, and PCM Stereo. There are no special features on the disc, but the 14 songs performed span the long history of Slowhand's career. This is a superb disc for Clapton enthusiasts, but there is nothing here to interest the average DVD consumer.

Great Quality Headphones

The Bose on-ear headphones deliver high quality sound and they are comfortable to wear. I love to listen to music with these Bose headphones. I listen on the computer and a portable cd player. They are not a noise cancelling model, however they do block out a significant amount of outside noise. Headphones are collapsible and fit into the case that is included with the purchase of headphones. Also has two different size plug ins and only one wire coming down from headphones. Price is a little high, but it was worth it to me because I love music.

The very definition of "screwball classic," this film is complemented by this excellent disc. The film is presented in its original full-screen (standard) format with an aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The sound is in Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono. The print quality is exceptional, with a nice balance of blacks and whites. Audio choices are English and Spanish with subtitles in these two languages as well as Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, and Thai. There is also a commentary track offered by Frank Capra Jr. that focuses on the very creation of the film; though there are some pauses, it is definitely worth a listen. Other "Special Features" include a brief interview with Capra Jr. in which he discusses his personal relationship to the film. A "Vintage Advertising" section features 12 lobby cards and posters for the film. Also included is the hour-long Lux Radio broadcast of It Happened One Night, which originally aired on March 20, 1939, and includes the two main stars of the film, Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. Theatrical trailers for the features Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and Lost Horizon are also included. There are "Talent File" listings for Capra, Gable, and Colbert. A great disc for a great film.

This disc captures guitar god Eric Clapton performing in Los Angeles in 2001. The DVD offers a standard full-frame transfer. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround, DTS Surround, and PCM Stereo. There are no subtitles, but the soundtracks are closed-captioned. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, but fans of the man and his music will not be disappointed with this show. Songs performed include "Tears in Heaven", "Sunshine of Your Love", "Cocain", "My Father's Eyes", and over a dozen others from every stage of his lengthy career.

Great 2001 concert at Los Angeles Staples Center. Eric Clapton is one of the all-time great guitar players. Excellent contributions from all of the other musicians as well. Highlights include solo acoustic performance by Clapton with "Key To The Highway", instrumental "Reptile". Also, "My Fathers Eyes", "River Of Tears" and "Layla. Concert was recorded in excellent quality.

The greatest blockbuster of Hollywood's golden era has been given an epic-scale presentation on DVD for this special edition release. Gone With the Wind has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The audio appears in two formats -- the original single-channel sound mix has been mastered in Dolby Digital Mono, while a new surround sound mix is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1. In addition to the original English-language soundtrack, a dubbed French track has also been included, as well as optional subtitles in English, French, and Spanish. Movie historian Rudy Behlmer provides an optional commentary track for the movie, while this set also includes two discs of supplementary materials, including a documentary on the making of the film, extensive profiles of stars Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh, an interview with co-star Olivia de Havilland, biographies of the supporting cast, a look at the film's various international releases (as well as a special prologue created for overseas releases), newsreel footage from the film's premiere, trailers for the picture's various releases over the years, and a listing of the many awards won by the movie.

From his days in The Yardbirds and Cream to his groundbreaking solo work, Eric Clapton has been turning-out heartfelt guitar-based tunes for over 30 years. Fans will treasure the chance to see Clapton performing some of his all-time favorites in an intimate setting with this exciting release of his appearance on MTV Unplugged. Presented in standard 1.33:1 full-screen and featuring an English Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, this release also offers optional English subtitles. Recorded at Bray Studios in London, this memorable performance includes "Tears in Heaven", "Layla", "Malted Milk", "Walkin' Blues", and more.

Excellent Dvd

Excellent dvd of a great 1992 Eric Clapton acoustic concert. Great acoustic guitar playing and some of Clapton's best singing. Excellent contributions from all the band musicians and background singers. Winner of six grammy awards. Many people have heard "Tears In Heaven", which is a beautiful song that is performed beautifully at this concert, but there is much more to the concert dvd then just "Tears In Heaven". The whole concert dvd is great.
What's great about it: Great concert
