After a rather lackluster release in 1999, William Shatner's directorial debut, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier comes to DVD once again, this time in an impressive, two-disc, collectors edition. The first disc features the film presented in a widescreen 1.85:1 anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio. In addition, the English soundtrack has been rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital 2.0 with a dubbed French soundtrack available in Dolby Digital 2.0. Bonus features on the first disc include a feature-length audio commentary by Shatner and his daughter Liz Shatner, author of Captain's Log: William Shatner's Personal Account of the Making of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, and text commentary by Michael Okuda and Denise Okuda, co-authors of The Star Trek Encyclopedia. The second disc is composed completely of supplemental features, including eleven featurettes, deleted scenes, theatrical trailers, and television spots.

Not the Best Star Trek, But Still Worth Seeing

In the William Shatner roast on Comedy Central, one comedian referred to this movie, Shatner's Star Trek directorial debut, as "Star Trek V: Death of the Franchise". Obviously, that's an exaggeration. Although the movie was a disappointment after three consecutive outstanding Star Trek movies (II, III, and IV), it's still worth seeing, and has aged pretty well.
What's great about it: The scenes with Kirk, Spock, and McCoy
Easily the Worst Star Trek Movie since Star Trek I

This is the movie that broke the Odd/Even Rule about Star Trek movies ("even numbered movies are awesome"). This was Star Trek 10, and it was far from awesome. It was barely watchable, with an ending designed to do nothing more than feed Brent Spiner's (Data's) ego.
In the end, they made 10 Star Trek movies, 8 of them were good to exceptional, that's a pretty good record.
What's great about it: The usual solid acting and spceial effects.
Lewis Black is an exceptional George Carlin styled comedian. His rants are intelligently written social and political commentary.
It's difficult to rate a comedy album on the above scale, since it applies mainly to music, so suffice it to say that Lewis' material is insightful and quite humorous.
What's great about it: Excellent Social Commentary
Terminator 2 is a high budget sequel to the low budget Terminator 1. The special effects, at the time, were ground breaking, and they've withstood the test of time.
I'm not sure why I didn't already own this DVD, but I saw it at Best Buy recently, with very cool packaging, and a very low price. It was an easy decision to add this to my collection.
PC users should note that you don't need to have a software DVD player to play this on your computer, since it includes a copy of the movie encoded for Windows Media Player.
What's great about it: Story, Special Effects, Packaging, Price
I bought this full screen version as a gift for a relative that doesn't have a wide screen TV. If you have a wide screen, buy the wide screen version.
Casino is, simply put, one of the best mob movies ever made. Director Martin Scorsese has referred to Casino as something of a sequel to Good Fellas. The story line, of course, is not a sequel, but there are many of the same actors, including Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. And, a younger Sharon Stone is perfect in the role of a high end, cocaine addicted, Vegas hooker/hustler.
Many old school comedians also found their way into excellent small roles in this movie, including Don Rickles as the casino manager, Tommy Smothers as a corrupt Nevada senator, and Alan King as Teamsters boss Andy Stone.
For any fan of mob movies, Martin Scorsese, or any of the actors, this movie is a must see.

Awesome Game

This is a really well designed game. The graphics are exceptional, there are a lot of areas to explore, the weapons are fun without being an overpowering part of the experience, I just hope that the game doesn't end too soon.
Among the graphics are a lot of flowing water and underwater scenes, these can be very difficult to design, and they're exceptionally well done.

One of the best controllers ever made.

Microsoft put a lot of work into making a high quality controller. This unit is very comfortable, the controls are in the right places, and the wireless seems to just work.
I wouldn't mind seeing the price a little lower, but that's NOT a Best Buy issue, this is the standard price. It doesn't make sense to pay a little less and be stuck with a corded controller.

I have both IDE and SATA Seagate drives. They're fast and quiet, and I haven't experienced any problems with them. The IDE is being used on an older PC, the SATA on a new Mac (in an external enclosure).
Packed with multimedia features, including a SuperDrive DL DVD±RW/CD-RW drive, this iMac makes it easy to enjoy your music, movies, photos and more. Use the iSight Web cam and integrated microphone to video chat with friends and family using iChat and the AirPort Extreme wireless LAN. Take a product tour.

Very Cool but Overpriced

OS X is an exceptional operating system, in many ways better than Windows. That said, Apple is still overcharging for hardware, and at times not using the best available hardware. Buyers should have a choice between an NVidia or ATI graphics card, and the displays should be 8 bits per color channel, not 6 bits per color channel.
Most of the built in software is nice, but once again, Apple squeezes a few extra dollars out of you: iMovie only works with imported camcorder video, not video files. So, if you want to convert your massive digital camera video files to a smaller file size, you still have to spend $30 on QuickTime Pro.
Yes, I love my Mac, but understand that these are not the perfect machines that they're advertised to be.
What's great about it: Awesome OS, All In One Design
What's not so great: Price, and an ATI graphics card

A Must Have for Digital Camera Users

If you have a digital camera or console game such as the XBox 360, you NEED a AA battery charger. The charge is fast (15 to 30) minutes, and the batteries hold the charge even with my heavy digital camera use. The price may seem high, but it's a good deal when you include the 4 free 2500ma rechargeable batteries. My only complaint is that the fan is loud, but a strong fan may be a requirement for a unit that charges batteries this fast (rapid charging generates quite a bit of heat).
will the wireless adapter on your website work with 802.11N routers ??
It will work, as long as your 802.11N router is backwards compatible with the 802.11G standard. As far as I know, every N router on the market is backwards compatible with the G standard.
I have never personally seen a dual voltage TV. You can purchase a voltage converter box at Best Buy. Make sure that your TV is the right type for the country you're taking it to (NTSC vs PAL).
