Not a bad album...just different. Good Charlotte adds some dance beats into their music this time around, which creates mixed results. "Keep Your Hands Off My Girl" is a mess of different styles, but "Victims of Love" blends dance beats and instruments well. "The River" is probably the best song on the album, because of its energy, and M. Shadows adds some nice guest vocals. "Broken Hearts Parade" is a close second for its unique sound.
What's great about it: Some unique tracks
What's not so great: Other tracks don't work out too well
This is a great album by Default, and in my opinion, their best album yet. If you are a fan of Rock music in general, definitely check out this CD and the group. I have heard both their other releases, but this CD really stands out. It has a really good blend of both soft and heavy rock songs, and the entire album is very well-produced. I love every track on this album, and really think everyone should at least listen to the song 'Count On Me'. Highly recommended.
What's great about it: Well Produced, Great Lyrics
This is the first CD from Rufio I have bought, having listened to 'Never Learn' and 'Walk Don't Run prior to the purchase. This CD is awesome, and Rufio is now one of my favorite bands. The quality of their music is great, this CD really shows off some awesome songs and has a good variety in the styles presented. Some songs are aggressive, some more mellow, and some are a mix of both. Definitely worth a look if you are a pop/rock fan. Highly recommended.
Jericho is quite possibly my favorite TV show that was on air. In the world of TV, heroes, magical islands, and cybernetic robots run rampant. Jericho was definitely a breath of fresh air because it featured a very realistic story, along with characters that were easy to relate with. Both the first and second (or last) season were very well done, although because of the length of season two (7 episodes), it felt very rushed. However, this is of no fault of the actual staff of the show, since they were rushed by the networks. Anyway, Jericho is definitely worth your time and money. It is a bit more realistic than most of the other stuff on TV, but that only makes it all the more worthwhile to watch. Very highly recommended.
What's great about it: Great story, very well done characters
Solty Rei is a good anime, and has something in it for everyone. It has its lighthearted moments, its action moments, and its overly-serious moments. The story is set up well, and the backstory of the anime is developed well and reveals itself at a nice pace. The voice-acting is pretty good, as all the characters seem to have appropriate voices. I throughly enjoyed this series from start to finish, but the one thing that bugged me were the characters. All of them are pretty common stereotypes. The deep-voiced action guy, the geeky scientist, the thief, etc. All of the characters have a 'been there, done that' feel to them. However, dont let that stop you from checking this series out. Highly recommended.
What's great about it: Decent Voice Acting, Good Backstory
