Great for photos! Better than Premium
on April 8, 2009

I much prefer to print on the advance photo paper than premium. It dries instantly, there is no tearoff tab, and often I get a better image quality than with the premium. When I print off pictures from my C7280, people are simply amazed how good they look!
What's great about it: dries quickly, no tearoff tab, good weight
What's not so great: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not full ink - for the photo paper included

This does indeed look a great deal, half the price of buying seperate inks and photo paper! However, it is intended to print basically the number of photo papers included. This is wonderful for someone who occassionally needs to print a batch of photos, but not good for everyday printing.
Comparing the HP printers to Epson, Canon, and Kodak, the HP's certainly give the best quality. I MUCH prefer the Advance photo paper, and that is actually what is recommended. The Premium paper takes a while to dry, and has that annoying tear off tab (because it does take a while to dry).
This value pack contains a lot less black than typical, and very little light magenta and cyan. In fact, a full light cyan and magenta will last for many hundreds of prints. I tend to buy yellow first, then black. But in a year with heavy printing, I've only replaced these a few times.
The ink does smear when wet, however. Of course a laser is better for printing labels that will be exposed to weather, but I would hope a photograph won't be getting wet.
What's great about it: Great for a project with photos
What's not so great: Not full ink
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great protection, well-made, looks nice

I admit it - I spent $1,000 on a 42" plasma TV last year and balked when it came to spending $150 to protect it. Honestly, I thought the salesman just wanted me to spend more money. "Condition" the power? $150 for a surge protector? So I plugged in an old surge protector and said good enough!
So after coming back and researching it, and talking more with the Best Buy guys, I came to learn that indeed it is necessary to protect the $1,000 television so it actually lasts a while. Plugging in a vacuum cleaner on the same circuit, running other high voltage devices in the house - it all will take a toll on your expensive television and electronics!
So....this Monster PowerCenter looks awesome! The plugs are very well spaced, and I could actually fit all eight on there (unlike the other surge protector, where I had to have a seperate power strip for some devices). I also figured, why spend $40 on a surge protector that may not be adequate when I can go ahead and put the money on a Monster; buy it once, keep it for life.
Hhopefully I won't have a lightning strike to test this, but if I do, I'll be pretty confident in the protection!
What's great about it: Looks great, excellent plug spacing
What's not so great: Well..it's not free....
I would recommend this to a friend!
