Slayer did it again, they never let the fans down. This album will fall right next to Reign In Blood and the other classic Slayer albums. Tom, Kerry Jeff and Dave never fail to impress. This album does not let up, it keeps kicking you in the face the whole time. There is not one weak track on this album and it only gets better the more times I listen to it. Out of the original "Big Four" Slayer is the only band to stay true to thrash and they delivered what I consider to be the best metal album of the year. Dave Lombardo is the god father of double bass drumming and there is not a guitar duo in the game that can compete with Kerry and Jeff, there solos on this record are blistering. Tom Araya delivers his best performance in a long time on this record. Def. go pick this album up you will not be disappointed.
What's great about it: It is classic SLAYER!!!!!!!
While this album is a good album, I do not think it is a great album. I am slightly disappointed in the album as a whole after the System Has Failed. I was expecting a little more speed and aggression. The songs are for the most part pretty good, the musicianship is top notch as always but the overall package just feels like it is missing something. I am not a big fan of hearing the same song twice as in A toute le monde. The first was great but there is no need to repeat it. A good effort but could have been better in my opinion.
What's great about it: Sleepwalker, Washington is Next, Gears of War
This is the album droogies have been waiting for since Countdown. I think this album is one of the best Megadeth have ever recorded. It is the first album since Countdown to Extinction that I can put on a listen to all the way through without skipping over a song. Dave Mustaine you truly are a legend in the metal world. Chris shreds on this album and Shawn's drums are heavier than ever.
What's great about it: Vocals, drums, solos, great mixing
We waited 17 years for this? I guess it goes to show just how much Slash, Duff and the rest of the band really meant to the music. Axl just proved he is nothing without the originals.
This album is a must have for any Testament fan or anyone wanting to now what Testament is all about. The live tracks hit hard from start to finish and the studio tracks are sharp as knives. This is the second Testament record I have bought and it confirmed to me the fact that I need to have them all.
A solid album from the Finish kings of metal. The boys in Bodom are relentless on this record and leave you with an apptite for more. Great all around record.
This is the BEST Metallica album since Master of Puppets!! This is the album every die hard Metallica fan has been waiting for since the Black Album. It hits hard all the way through and doesn't let you up for air. This is a must have for every Metallica and metal fan. If you weren't a fan before this record you will be after.
