A tragic auto accident leaves a high-school science teacher with unexplainable psychic powers in this popular cable television series based on the novel by iconic American horror author Stephen King. Each episode of The Dead Zone is presented in 1.33:1 full-frame as originally aired and features closed-captioned English language audio rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. In addition to cast and crew commentary on all 12 episodes (as well as commentary by guest stars on some episodes), this release also offers three featurettes entitled "Making the Leap to HD," "Cooking Verite," and "Quiet Confidence." A gag reel, deleted scenes, and actor John L. Adams' short film Five Minutes 'Til Mitch are also included.

best tv series i have ever watched .. Every season was well done and it is a shame that it ended before the whole story could have been told
you can not go wrong with any of this series at all. I own them all and love watching them over and over again.
What's great about it: excellent show
What's not so great: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

Buck Rogers finally makes his way to DVD in this Complete Epic Series box set thanks to the fine TV folk over at Universal. Join Twiggy, Hawk, and the unbeatable Erin Gray in all of her sexy space outfits as Buck dishes out 20th century slang to unknowing future people in 31 jam-packed episodes, along with the original theatrical pilot in all its glory. The picture is presented in a 1.33:1 full-frame image that boasts a solid transfer, though various age marks can be spotted in most all of the episodes. A Dolby Digital 2.0 track has been supplied to the set, which might disappoint the higher end home-theater crowd but shouldn't be a surprise to those who purchase a lot of TV shows on DVD (most rarely get the full 5.1 treatment). While the set does indeed present the entire series, Universal has failed to include any extras or even the bumpers that were added to the theatrical film when it was split into two pilot episodes for TV. Still, there aren't any real excuses for anyone not to purchase this set and delight in all its sci-fi, cheesy goodness.

When i was growin gup this show was the best on TV so when i saw it out on DVD i had to have it. Funny how things change when you become an adult and see them again. The acting is so bad but if anything it brought back a lot of fond memories
What's great about it: fun to see again

Probably one of the most honored epics on recent television, HBO's mini-series Band of Brothers was produced by the powerhouse team of Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. It won the Golden Globe for Best Mini-series and is nominated for 19 Emmys. The 6-disc DVD set comes in an embossed metallic case. It has an extraordinary amount of information in addition to the 10-part true-life story of the men of Easy Company in the 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. To start with, it contains the documentary "We Stand Alone Together: The Men of Easy Company," which interviews the real men of Easy Company as they tell their stories, inner-cut with film footage and rare and archival photos. Also included is a making-of feature on the mini-series, actor Ron Livingston's video diary that shows behind-the-scenes footage from the actor's perspective, and a featurette of the screening on the beaches of Normandy. There is also an optional enhanced viewing "Field Guide," which extensively references people, places and events connected to Easy Company and their campaign through Europe and WWII as a whole. Additionally included are character bios, web-links to the Band of Brothers living memorial, as well as other pertinent sites, a still photo gallery, episodic previews and scene selection menus. The DVD is released in widescreen only with a 16:9 aspect ratio from High Definition digital masters, the audio is DTS English and 5.1 Surround as well as English, French and Spanish Dolby Surround. Spanish subtitles and English closed-captioning is also included. This is a must-own DVD set, especially for history buffs and collectors of World War II information.
