works great with win 7 64

I have a home network set up with a 2Wire DSL router. One compter is connected via ethernet, the other two (laptop and old tower) were wireless. My plan was to transfer the 802.1g 2Wire PCI card from the old Win 98 tower to a new windows 7 64 box. Unfortunately the windows 7 machine would not recognize the card even after downloading new drivers- the part number may have been too old. After reading reviews here, I decided to try the N-150 USB, but saw the N-300 on display for only a few bucks more. Bought it, and set it up in no time. A cradle with USB cord is included so there are no problems if your USB ports are crowded together.
I do not broadcast the SSID of my network, but the software picked up a "blank" network. I chose it, entered the SSID, chose the security and then entered the security key, and I was up and running. No issues with the device when the computer is reawakened from sleep mode.
I'm impressed enough that I would like to upgrade my DSL router to the Netgear N-300 DSL router also on display, which I have verified would work with my provider.
What's great about it: Easy to set up. Looks sharp in the included cradle.
What's not so great: Nothing so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Basic Wireless USB Adapter connects your laptop or desktop computer to your wireless network. When matched with a Belkin Basic Wireless Router (sold separately) at the center of your network, the Adapter's speeds are ideal for handling simple activities such as emailing and Web-surfing.

Does Belkin - Basic N150 Wireless USB Adapter support WPA2?

I recently purchased the N-300 USB adapter (~$59) which appears to be identical to the N-150 (~$54) except for bandwith and possibly range. The N-300 does support WPA2, so I presume the N-150 would as well. I don't have the software running, but the sample in the instructions selected WPA2-PSK[AES].

Can this product be used with a wireless-G broadband router?

Yes. I am using this product along with a 2WIRE DSL 802.1g router purchased from my service provider. Of course your bandwith will be limited to the 802.1g standard between this device and your router.
