For the casual Yes fan, this album could be the one you're overlooking. This work borders on the jazz / jam side of Yes talents, with all having their individual shreds. Side one has a musical take linked to Tolstoy's War and Peace, and almost as long. But the wait is worth it when the listener arrives to the final section " Soon ". The " flip side " opens with " Sound Chaser ", a spacy tune with a wonderful solo by Steve Howe. ( Insider note: He plays the pedal steel on this album ! ) . This is followed by a dreamy cut , " To Be Over " , my personal favorite. Give this Yes album a try , a true hidden gem ,,,, on vinyl !
