This iPhone is a steal at the sale price of $200! It has the right LTE bands for both AT&T and T-Mobile (Band 12 - for reception inside buildings). And, it is factory unlocked, so you can use it with any GSM carrier worldwide. I am currently using it with my post-paid AT&T account. The A9 chip in this phone is fully compatible with the new iOS 11 coming this Fall.

Pioneer BDP-80FD vs Sony & Panasonic BD Players

Here is my comparison of the Pioneer BDP-80FD and three other blu-ray players.
I purchased and compared four different blu-ray players (Sony S6500, Sony S5500, Panasonic DMP-BDT460, and the Pioneer BDP-80FD) trying to find the best bang for my buck. I also tested the DVD upscaling ability of each player. All tests were done with the 'Standard' or 'Auto' setting on each player.
Display: Panasonic TC-P60ZT60 on THX Cinema Mode
Test Discs: Pixar's Toy Story 2 Blu-ray, Pixar's Toy Story 2 DVD
Scenes: Woody's Restoration, Jessie's Song (Flashback Scene), Buzz's visit to Al's Toy Barn

Scenes: Woody's Restoration, Jessie's Song (Flashback Scene), Buzz's visit to Al's Toy Barn
In Woody's Restoration, I looked for the details on Woody's face and body, depth and realism on the restorer's face, and the texture on the surface of pump.
In Jessie's Song, I looked for the ability to differentiate between the color of Jessie's hair and her hat. I also looked for the difference in the texture between her braided hair and the felt of her hat. The scene where Jessie plays with Emily in the park, with the constantly changing light and the 'lens flare', was a litmus test for the players.
In the Al's Toy Barn scene, you see a wall of green and blue from the Buzz Lightyear packages on the shelf. I looked for the ability to display the colors in a controlled way, without any color 'bloom' or smearing.
The Pioneer did the best job of displaying accurate, lifelike color. I found very little 'banding' or color 'bloom' on even the most challenging scenes. In addition, the images were 3-Dimensional, with a lot of depth and texture. It clearly showed the texture of Jessie's hair and the felt in her hat. The restorer's craggy face was stunning with excellent contrast and clarity, without any false-sharp edges. In the Toy Barn scene, it controlled the colors very well, with absolutely no smearing. Other players did not control the colors as well as the Pioneer or convey any depth in that scene.
My ranking of the players: The Pioneer was the overall winner by a wide margin.
1. Pioneer BDP-80FD: Excellent performer. Brilliant, lifelike picture. Very 3-Dimensional. Excellent color rendition. Excellent DVD upscaling, with no visible artifacts.
2. Sony S6500: Very good. Lacked the depth and 3-Dimensionality of the Pioneer. DVD Upscaling is also a step below the Pioneer.
3. Panasonic DMP-BDT460: Very good DVD upscaling, but fell short on color accuracy.
4. Sony S5500: The worst of the lot. Poor color rendition, and clearly lacking in depth and 3-Dimensionality.
2. Sony S6500: Very good. Lacked the depth and 3-Dimensionality of the Pioneer. DVD Upscaling is also a step below the Pioneer.
3. Panasonic DMP-BDT460: Very good DVD upscaling, but fell short on color accuracy.
4. Sony S5500: The worst of the lot. Poor color rendition, and clearly lacking in depth and 3-Dimensionality.
This exercise took a lot of time and almost exhausted my wife's patience. But, it was very enlightening. It put to rest, once and for all, the lie that all blu-ray players 'put out identical images'. The difference was most stark when comparing the Sonys (even the picture setting options are different).
I kept the Pioneer for my main system (because I wanted the best), and the Sony S6500 for my bedroom (because I wanted a more economical alternative for the less demanding system).
I hope this review helps anybody who is on the fence .....

Excellent Match for Mythos STS

I bought the Mythos Nine to serve as the center channel speaker in my 5.1 setup. I choose it to match the Mythos STS that I was using as the front speakers. It does a great job with male voices and is a perfect timber match with the fronts. The only limitation is that it does not go low enough - drops off around 100 Hz. I have it crossed over at 80Hz as wall-mounting reinforces the low end.
The styling is subtle and matches my Panasonic plasma's black bezel. It looks very good when wall-mounted under the TV. I left the DefTech label off for a 'stealth' look.
The only negative about this speaker is the difficulty of mounting the speaker onto the wall bracket. It is almost impossible to do without scratching the back of the speaker. The scratches would be invisible once the speaker is mounted, but if you are OCD it would bother you that your nice new speaker was scratched up.

I loved this season of Fringe.
The fourth season seemed more coherent than the third season, with all characters seeing significant development. The various story-lines were well integrated and believable as part of this alternate timeline. I liked how Peter was re-integrated into this 'new' universe.
The Audio and Video quality was great and made the extra price of the Blu-ray over the DVD well worth it.

This is review of the Double Pack - not the movies themselves, which have been favorably reviewed by many people already.
This is a great deal on two excellent movies. Each movie comes in its own case. Both Blu-rays are normal, full-featured retail issues with all the extras - not stripped down versions.
Also, the Fifth Element disc is the new remastered version with the improved video quality.
What's great about it: Great Deal, Full-Featured Blu-rays with all the extras

The fre looks and performs terrible compared to this case. You no longer need a screen protector to be waterproof! This case is amazing hands down. The entire back of the case is clear so you can see your iphone. The sound quality is better, the screen is obviously a 10/10. And operability is hands down the best I've ever seen. The flap for the charging port is VERY snug and takes a good bit of work to open. That may be a good or bad thing. To me it's slightly annoying but if that's all I have to complain about, I'm good! Don't waste any more time reading reviews. This case is WELL worth your money!

Thanks for comparing this to the Fre case. I have that one and did not like the way the screen protector felt in daily use. Sounds like upgrading to the Nuud would be a definite improvement.

Great receiver. Sound and picture are awesome. The only complaint I have is there are not as many inputs on the back as my old receiver. My old record player and VCR wont work, however, getting a USB record player would fix that issue and converting my old tapes to digital would eliminate the need for the VCR. Sign of the times I guess.

I understand why the record player won't work with this receiver - it does not have 'phono' inputs. But, you should be able to connect your VCR to this receiver. It has a composite video input (yellow jack) for the video and RCA stereo (red & white jacks) for the audio from your VCR. The receiver will take the VCR's video coming through the composite video jack and send it through the HDMI output to your TV.

This unit is replacing a Plantronics M50 that I had been stolen and I was a little skeptical purchasing this with no reviews online and the in store associate admitting he did not know if they had sold any of these in the store. he said they only started carrying them a week ago. He mentioned a 15 day return policy so I decided to test it out.
I paired this BT with an older Motorola Droid 2 Global that I'm very fond of. The phone and BT paired almost instantly and immediately was playing media audio through the BT. The issue I'm having is that when initially connected the phone audio is not played through the BT like the media audio. The fix is to power cycle both the phone and BT, in that order, and then the BT plays both the phone and media audio. I can't tell if this is an issue with the BT or my older phone but with them both being motorola products I would thing annoyances like this would not be an issue.
I love the size of the unit and the multiple wearing options. The pack includes one over the ear loop that rests on the outside of the ear, another over the ear loop with and ear bud to fit into the ear canal, and two inner ear loops with different size earbuds. I tried all four and prefer the over the ear loop with the ear bud. It feels very stable and the earbud blocks out some outside noise. Its nice that they include all four styles so there is something for everyone right out of the box.
The only flaw I see with the design is the on/off flip microphone which is a good idea but the mic flips in towards your ear when you turn it off and is difficult to flip back out without knocking the unit loose from your ear. Perhaps with some wear the mic will loosen slightly and the problem might go away.

We kept seeing our cable bills go up. Visited relatives in NM with similar antenna, decided to try it out. Great decision! For $95 (with tax), we save $80 per month! Only regret is not doing it sooner. Able to reach about 40 channels, but got rid of 15 or so we weren't interested in. Channels are easy to set up, delete, and select. Only limitation is that channel names cannot be renamed, but this is not a drawback--only a suggestion to the manufacturer for future possible improvement. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and would recommend it to anyone who wants to SAVE MONEY!

The inability to rename stations is not a limitation of the antenna, but a result of the FCC rules. The channels names are transmitted by the station and cannot be altered.

This noise-reduction function uses the rear microphone (near the camera) to cancel ambient noise. Since this case blocks the rear microphone, the noise-reduction feature will not work properly with the phone in the case. Leaving this feature On will mess with the voice quality. Turning it Off will resolve your issue.

What can anyone do in the face of true tyranny? When simple criticism is outlawed, what chance does a revolution have? How do you inspire a nation that’s been bullied into silence?
The story begins with a comment on the power of an individual idea. Additionally, we are given a brief history of a failed rebellion in Great Britain and the man behind it, Guy Fawkes (portrayed by Clive Ashborn). Next, we flash-forward to an unspecified point in the United Kingdom’s future. A future in which a man by the name of Lewis Prothero (called The Voice of London and played by Roger Allam) has his own nightly broadcast and uses it to espouse his own political beliefs which always ends with the phrase “good guys win, bad guys lose, and, as always, England prevails”. Prothero is shown to the viewer on two different screens being watched by two different people. One of them, Evey Hammond (portrayed by Natalie Portman) is preparing for an evening out and turns off her television as she leaves, saying “That’s quite enough of that. Thank you very much.” The other viewer is left unidentified. Once Hammond has left her home, a public address system notifies the citizenry that a “yellow coded” curfew is now in effect. Worried that she might face consequences if she is discovered, Hammond suddenly hurries. Unfortunately, she is accosted by two men. Soon after threatening her, they identify themselves as government officials and make it clear that they intend to assault her. All seems lost for Ms. Hammond until a masked man, (voiced by Hugo Weaving) intervenes on her behalf. Our man in the mask subdues Ms Hammond’s attackers and then tells her that she may call him V. V claims to be a musician on the way to a concert and asks Evey to join him. V appears delusional to Evey at first, conducting a symphony that she can neither see nor hear, when the same public address system that informed of the curfew begins playing Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Before the song is finished, she is surprised again by an explosion which destroys the Old Bailey, home of the Central Criminal Court and an iconic piece of London architecture. As V revels in the destruction of the Old Bailey, it becomes clear to Evey that he was responsible and as government officials observe her next to V in the surveillance footage, they incorrectly assume Evey was somehow involved.
When V for Vendetta was first in theaters, it was the source of much debate. Fans of the graphic novel complained that it took liberties with the story. Others worried that it justified terrorism. Having not read the graphic novel, I can’t comment on the first part. On the second part, at the time it occurred, people might’ve seen the Boston Tea Party as terrorism. In a totalitarian state, where dissent is a criminal act in and of itself, terrorism might very well be the best vehicle for change. And it’s because of that, an engaging and suspenseful story, and stellar performances from the main and supporting cast that I count V for Vendetta among my favorite movies. I have seen it many times since it was released on DVD and I will, no doubt, watch it many more. If what I’ve written intrigues you at all and you haven’t seen this film yet, you absolutely should. Just one man’s opinion.
