Check for missing parts!

1. The only dimension the website listed for this stand was a height of 31" - no width, depth, or weight.
2. The store had two in stock, but none on display so the only way I knew what I was getting was to take it home and put it together.
3. When I got home, the entire bag of hardware had been left out of the box at the factory. There was a block of foam where the small box of hardware should have been located. I had to waste another hour calling the store, driving up there, waiting in line to pick up the missing parts, and driving back.
4. The quality is decent, but the price is too high.
The actual, assembled dimensions are 59" wide, 31.5" tall, and 17.5" deep. Most parts appear to be actual wood instead of "particle board". The ends are made from square steel tubing. It appears well-made and weighs about 125 lbs.

Doesn't work

My mid-2010 27" iMac will not see my Sony DCR-TRV530 camcorder using this cable. However, a different computer using a different cable works just fine.
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Everything

Expensive, but works well - with limitations

Between downloading an initial software update and activating, it took over 45 minutes (!) - and this is with a 30 Mbps broadband connection. I don't understand why the setup procedure must take so long. It's easy, just time consuming. I was a bit unclear on how the live streaming would play out, but I was disappointed to discover that in order to display "live tv", the show must actually start recording. Live streaming will stop when the current program recording ends, so you can't watch live TV continuously. If you have a extra tuner that isn't recording, then it's no big deal, but you'll end up with a bunch of recordings that you have to turn around and delete. I haven't tried transferring any recordings to my iPhone yet since I bought this primarily to watch live TV and recorded shows on my iPhone. One other disappointment is that it has a small cooling fan inside that runs even when the unit isn't streaming. It's not very loud, but being a mechanical device it increases the chances it will fail sooner than if the device relied on natural convection for cooling.
What's great about it: Works as advertised.
What's not so great: Must record to stream live. Has a cooling fan.

Very good microphone, flimsy mount, tricky setup

I gave the MICROPHONE 5 stars, but the MOUNT that comes with it is flimsy plastic and I'm just waiting for it to snap. I use this mic with Garageband for podcasting and it works really, really well for this purpose and price range. It works in other applications as well, but be warned that it installs itself as a STEREO microphone (which it is not) by default. You must go to Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup then highlight "Samson C01U" and change the format from "2ch-16bit" to "1ch-16bit" to prevent some applications from recording and playing back only the left channel.
What's great about it: Sound quality, price, quality feel
What's not so great: Flimsy plastic mount, installs itself as a stereo mic instead of mono by default

Good for beginners at recording music or podcasts
By MC0Gary from Springfield IL
This is a great product but before buying make sure to check your sound card to make sure it has MIDI support if not you will need to upgrade you soundcard(which is a good idea anyway) so it will work, Best Buy has many soundcards so no worries. You wont be able to get sound if not, but once past that obstacle it is smooth sailing from there.

MIDI has nothing to do with microphones. MIDI is used to connect musical INSTRUMENTS (such as keyboards) to other musical INSTRUMENTS or COMPUTERS. You do not need MIDI support to use this or any other microphone. Your source of information is incorrect.
