I have owned three 7d models. The new 7d MarkII is far superior and meets my expectations. If you can afford the camera, this is a great purchase. The new model has dual digi6 processors for beautiful images and great stop action for sports.

Unbelievable detail.On an unbelievable scale. The all-new Retina 5K display has 14.7 million pixels - four times as many as the standard 27-inch iMac. So photographs look amazing, maps come alive, and text is incredibly sharp.Stunning ultrathin design.iMac with Retina 5K display is filled with the latest high-performance technologies, yet it's still just 5mm thin at its edge.

The moment after setting up and seeing the desktop for the first time, I literally forgot to breathe for about 5 seconds. That says something about how amazing this display is. Even though we've all seen retina displays before on the phones and computers, this is simply not on the same scale: being about to see some many pixels on one panel.
I used to be a PC supremacist, talking specs here specs there. But if we compare a regular PC all in one to the iMac with retina display, you simply can't compare the color correctness, the contrast (How black the black is, how white the white is), the pixel density.
And being the first commercially available 5k panel, it's worth it to get the display for 2499, let alone they decide to throw in a powerful computer in there as well.
Believe me when I said there is nothing else like this, because there really isn't anything like this out there.

Should have went to the post office and picked up a Movers Kit and saved 10% on this purchase. Just saying $250 in savings you can buy a very large external hard drive to go along.

When will it be available for shipping?
This camera doesn't seem to be available for shipping either to my home or my local Omaha store. Fine. I'll go pick one up at my local Best Buy. But wait...It's not available in my area. Hmmm. In which area within a 500 mile radius of my town can I find one? I can try to determine the zip code of every Best Buy store in every major city within that radius and then start plugging in numbers...so far, after about 20 zip codes, I've given up. I guess I'll just have to go buy it somewhere that's not a Best Buy store.
It doesn't appear the stores are stocking this item. I purchased mine online, used a 10% off coupon and shipped to store for pick up. Shipping took 7 days, but worth the wait.
