Was apprehensive

I was disappointed with their last live concert we attended so was a little apprehensive about purchasing this dvd. First viewing I really did not enjoy it but after tweaking my sound system and cranking it up the music was enjoyable. If your a true blue ZZ Top fan you will enjoy this dvd.
What's great about it: If you have a good system you need to crank it up to really enjoy this dvd. Video quality and sound are both excellent.
What's not so great: Nothing

John Fogerty delivers a career-spanning live performance featuring hits from his years as leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival as well as his later solo work in this potent concert video, which gets a smooth presentation on DVD. John Fogerty: The Long Road Home in Concert has been given a widescreen transfer to disc, letterboxed in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio on conventional monitors and enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 screens. The image is pin-sharp throughout, and the healthy bit rate adds to the fine detail of the image. The audio has been mastered in three formats: Dolby Digital 2.0, Dolby Digital 5.1, and DTS 5.1. Either way, the music sounds clear and tight and Fogerty and his band storm through this show with fire and authority. The songs are performed in English, with no subtitles or multiple language options included. As a bonus, this release includes a music video for Fogerty's recent anti-war number "Déjà Vu (All Over Again)." And the booklet included with the package folds out into a poster of Fogerty on-stage brandishing his guitar. John Fogerty: The Long Road Home in Concert features a stellar performance from one of the great men of American rock & roll, and this disc certainly does right by the material.
