A Great Speaker!

I bought these to replace a brand new pair of Polks that were terrible. I am amazed by the sound they produce from only a 6.5" speaker, they sound larger than they are! These speakers have a solid and clear bass and remain clear turned up louder than I generally have any interest in. The mid's and treble are also excellent. I listen to many types of music and these speakers seem to handle it all. The sound has that full quality to it where it seems to fill the vehicle evenly without requiring excessive volume. They fit in my vehicle perfectly and had numerous mounting options to accomodate many vehicles. The mounting hardware was of good quality and it came with pre-made speaker leads for an easy and clean slide on connection. You should definitly buy these!
What's great about it: Sound Quality and perfect fit
These loudspeakers feature poly-mica composite woofer cones that are stiff, yet lightweight for big sound and minimal distortion. The swivel-mount soft dome tweeter allows for precise aiming of sound.

Don't Buy Them

I bought four of these for my 1995 Saturn. I was very disappointed. Better than the cheapy auto store speakers that came in the car, but far worse than the stock speakers in my wife's 2000 saturn or my 1992 Dakota. One of the four speakers was blown/bad from the factory (Thankfully it turns out) and the others were very underwhelming. I say thankfully b/c I took them back and got a pair of Alpines and I am thrilled with those.
I've liked polk in the past, but they missed the mark on these. The installation hardware is cheap and did not work well. The speakers looked fine and fit perfect. The midrange and treble sound very nice and are clear, but the bass is distorted for much of the range. I am/was running them off a brand new pioneer head unit. I also do not listen to the radio crazy loud or have an amp or sub or any of that. I just like a solid clear sounding system and these were not it. Also I listen to a wide range of genres and I didn't like them for anything.
Now I still have 2 of the Polks in the front and alpines in the rear. For a front speaker they are acceptable, but I wouldn't reinstall a set of these on purpose and am contemplating returning the front ones simply due to poor sound quality.
What's great about it: Mid's and Treble
What's not so great: Distorts easily on bass, yes, even at normal volumes.
