Return of the 70's

To start this off, I am a pretty big fan of Sabbath, liking all the line ups they had over the years. 13 to me is a great accomplishment from the band, they sound similar to the 70's Metal. Thats a great thing actually, Tony's guitar riffs are still catchy and bluesy, Geezers Bass is still crunchy and groovey at the same time, Ozzy still sings pretty well, he can't get the high notes like he could on past albums like Sabotage and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, but he sings very well in the range he has now. Very clear, and the lower pitch actually goes along really well with the heavy bluesy music of this album. All the tracks are great and while I have favorites, they are all strong in their own way, the bonus tracks on the BB exclusive version are also great and worth the extra purchase. All in all, alot of 70's bands combacks have been lukewarm, while Black Sabbath has proven that they can release something that rivals their old works in todays industry. Good music will never die, and if this is to be Sabbaths last album, is a really great one to end it on.
My Best Buy number: 2191652488
What's great about it: Classic Sabbath Song, Todays Production values
What's not so great: Wish more music like this would return at this quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

SynopsisFor Max Payne, the tragedies that took his loved ones years ago are wounds that refuse to heal. No longer a cop, close to washed up and addicted to pain killers, Max takes a job in São Paulo, Brazil, protecting the family of wealthy real estate mogul Rodrigo Branco, in an effort to finally escape his troubled past. But as events spiral out of his control, Max Payne finds himself alone on the streets of an unfamiliar city, desperately searching for the truth and fighting for a way out. Featuring cutting-edge shooting mechanics for precision gunplay, advanced new Bullet Time and Shootdodge effects, full integration of Natural Motion's Euphoria Character Behavior system for lifelike movement and a dark and twisted story, Max Payne 3 is a seamless, highly detailed, cinematic experience from Rockstar Games. In addition to an expansive single-player campaign, Max Payne 3 will also be the first entry in the series to introduce a thorough and engrossing multiplayer experience. Max Payne 3 multiplayer brings the same cinematic feel, fluid gunplay and sense of movement of the single-player game into the realm of online multiplayer. Using the fiction and signature gameplay elements of the Max Payne universe, Max Payne 3 features a wide range of new and traditional multiplayer modes that play on the themes of paranoia, betrayal and heroism, all delivered with the same epic visual style of the single-player game.

Game crashes before login screen.
By nopayne from Orono
I am running this on a new dell xps laptop and it took me 3 hours of online research just to get the game to launch. After that I couldn't even get to the point where I enter the product code. Social Club does not launch and game gets stuck at initializing. I have been at it for 4 hours just trying to get past this screen. I have wasted 7 hours trying to make this game load on my computer. VERY UNHAPPY WITH PRODUCT.

S. California; it being a laptop has nothing to do with the 35gb size install.
The XPS laptop, do you know what GPU that it came with? Even if a laptop is new it may fail the requirements because only high end laptops usually come with a good dedicated GPU. Alienware is the only Dell brand that gets the high end mobile gpu's. I just checked and what I seen was a GT 555m. That card according to benchmarks will only run it in dx9 mode, normal at a resolution of 1024 x 768 around 45 fps when paired with a i7-2630 cpu. Your laptop depending of it's processor and gpu (i don't know if you have those exact specs or under) may not enough to run this game. If that's exactly what you have, then your good to go at the settings I posted, maybe might be able to raise the resolution if your fine with a flat 30fps. As far as the rockstar lounge, uninstalling, rebooting and installing again helped me with GTA IV when I had that issue.

Best flagship card out there but...
By Ppchewie
You are probably wondering why I would give such an incredible, and beautiful, Piece of hardware only a two star rating. The GTX 980 itself really is fantastic. It ran every new game, flawlessly, on maximum settings at 60FPS1080p. I had no problems with the card what so ever and, it really is the cheapest flagship card ever released. So why the two stars then?
The GTX 980 has one simple six letter problem, GTX 970. If top of the line is what you are looking for then go for the 980 100%. However, if you are someone on a budget, like myself, I simply can not recommend the GTX 980 when the GTX 970 is a whole $200 less and is only about 10% less powerful. The GTX 970 is still powerful enough to play any game at 1080p on maximum settings. So, in the end, if you are looking for the best available or gaming at 1440p or higher I would absolutely recommend this card. But, if you are on a budget or still at 1080p, I see no reason to spend the extra $200.

Until you start stressing the Vram
February 15, 2015
I originally though like you did, thinking 2 x 970 was a better deal. But then the stuttering came with 1440p and highest settings on new games. If you game at 1080p then the GTX 970 is for you, but if you game at 1440p and maybe doing SLI, the 980 is what you want as it's not bottlenecked by the Vram.

Battle friends and foes with the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro console. Its 1TB capacity lets you store plenty of games without an external hard drive, and the dual-shock controller improves your hands-on gaming experience. Setting the record straight.

This console exist solely for the hardcore gamer. This is an advanced version of the console with an overclocked GPU and 4K and HDR that is something to behold if you witnesses it in person. Everyone who is complaining about the UHD player not included in the console. Here's the reason, the number of consumers who have used the PS4 and PS3 when it picked up traction using NETFLIX was the #1 streaming device for all content. This is exactly why they didn't include the UHD on the PS4 PRO. YOU consumers clearly made it so, MORE people are streaming watching there content than they are buying $30 UHD Blurays to watch one movie. It makes sense across the board, this console is future proofing moving forward with the technology of 4K and HDR and enhancing future game titles with improving everything developers can do with. If you all want a UHD player for $300 get the Xbox One S, clearly that is what many of you are interested in and less on games having 4K support as well. This is a VIDEO GAME platform first and a multimedia entertainment system second.

Just a small correction
September 10, 2016
The GPU used in the PS4 Pro is a under clocked Radeon RX480 with 36 CU's. The Jaguar CPU cores are what got overclocked. Compared to the Base PS4 and Slim which are using a underclocked modified Radeon 7870/7850 with 18 Cu's. The GPU in the Pro is AMD's newest Polaris architecture and quite a bit stronger.
Overall I feel your statement is right at the point, I just wanted to make sure this info was known as it adds quite a bit of value to the PS4 Pro.

PS4 Rookie
By Cnorth12 from Ocoee, FL.
A complete swing and miss on Sony’s part not to include a 4k player in the PS4 Pro. The Xbox One S does it for $299. A huge error in my opinion. They’re basically trying to get you to pay $400 for a Roku that plays games! All 4k Tvs already have 4k streaming apps as does stand alone streaming units already on the market that does HDR now and or will with the next release wave coming anytime. The leading manufacturer of 4k Tvs, projectors, UHD discs and a 4k streaming service that they don't even include in their own product! They’re all in on the 4k bandwagon but yet refuse to include a player with the premiere product in their 4k lineup that has the potential to give them the majority of the market share and push the 4k format to the next level which would bring millions of consumers still on the fence to adopt the format exponentially! Not everyone has the internet speed to even push 4k streaming to their homes. Streaming can never match the picture quality of a physical disc. To top it off, they’re adding HDR capabilities to all current PS4’s and to the PS4 Slim disqualifying any need for the more expensive option of the Pro.

To the Uninformed reviewer
September 10, 2016
To make this clear, it seems most of the internet does not realize what the PS4 Pro is. It's not a just a base PS4 with a HDR 4k upscaler.
First thing, the GPU. The biggest upgrade. The old PS4 and now Slim PS4 are using a modified Radeon 7870/7850 with 18 CU's. The NEW PS4 Pro is using a RX 480 (36 CU's) underclocked to around 911mhz. (Underclocked compared to the PC Desktop GPU counterpart). The RX 480 is AMD's newest Graphics architecture, and quite a bit more powerful than the old 7870/7850. 1.8 Teraflops to the 4.2 in the Pro) The xbox one slim is still using the Radeon 7790 from the Launch Xbox One and was overclocked a tiny bit in the Slim. Around 1.2-1.4 Teraflops. Thats why the Xbox One Slim is 299 with a UHD player. It's the same ancient GPU that was already weak when the first Xbox One released. It's up scaling is just basic up scaling like any Blu Ray player did for a DVD.
The PS4 Pro benefits 4k users and 1080p users. Now, most games will not be native 4k, but use an advanced up-scaling algorithm. They are still rendered higher than 1080p and using that algorithm will provide a better picture than just flat upscaling from 1080p (or 720/900/1080p if were talking the Xbox One). Digital Foundry has already stated it's quite impressive, not as good as Native 4k Rendering, but a good jump above rendering 1080p on a 4k Display.
1080p Users, we are not left out. Games will have options for us, for example, Rise of The Tomb Raider will have 3 modes, a 4k 30fps mode, a 1080p unlocked FPS (45-60FPS) mode and a 1080p 30fps mode but with upgraded graphics compared to the Base PS4 version and other 2 modes. Shadows of Mordor is another example, 1080p mode will use Super Sampling Anti-Alaising, smoothing out the picture to eliminate aliasing aka jaggies.
The PS4 Pro is for Gamers who want better graphics and performance out of their games, whether they own a 4k HDR, 4k or 1080p display. The lack of a UHD player for some will be disappointing, but Sony decided to use the budget on providing a much stronger GPU, which is ultimately way more important for gaming.
The one thing I want to set straight, this is not comparable to the Xbox One Slim due to the PS4 Pros actual upgrade in GPU hardware and the PS4 pro will run games better than the Xbox One Slim. So if you purely want a movie player that plays a few games then maybe the X1Slim is for you, if you want better looking and performing games, then the PS4 Pro is the one to choose.
