Mike Sullivan (Tom Hanks) works as a hit man for John Rooney, considering him more of a father figure than a crime boss. Sullivan's son witnesses a murder, which sends both himself and son on the lamb, trying to hide, while wanting payback. Tom Hanks is great as always, while the hired hit-man, Harlen (Jude Law) is icing on the cake. The movie makes you question yourself what's more important: your loyalty or family?

A paranormal investigator goes to an old house that is suspect to some awful past events, which are now spewing over to today and Simon, it's willing and current occupant. Before long, we find out that this house conjures souls from the afterlife and those souls want something. There isn't a lot of blood, if that's what you're after, but there are a lot of scares on the way and ending that will leave you shocked!

What's not so great: story is good, but one you'll figure out way before it's over
Michael Rooker never disappoints, especially in this grizzly story about, Henry, a ordinary looker that just loves his habit--to kill, and kill again! Shacking up with his good friend, Otis, you would think Otis's visiting sister would present a change of heart, but does it?! Can a serial killer actually change his way? When he enters the room the blood isn't splattering left and right, but the actual kills will make you left a little squeamish.

The film starts off as 6 year old Martin Bristol is abducted from his backyard swing and is primarily being molded by a madman to become a madman. Of course, nothing ever goes right in a horror flick, particularly seen in Martin questioning the abductor, Graham's decisions. Does he want to fulfill the mold of his demented mentor or should he help the other abductee? Once the blood, gore and gruesome deaths stack up, it's only a matter of time that Martin makes that decision. What a great slasher/horror film, set in an eerie environment with some very graphic kills to say the least. It might make you want to move back to the city and watch your kids a little better!
The movie is based on Martin McGartland's real life story, who is recruited by the British Police to spy on the IRA. He works his way up the ranks, saving lives and taking blows in the process, and to me what really polished and solidified the film was Jim Sturgess's heartfelt performance. Martin was ultimately 'used' by both sides and really couldn't depend or trust either side, which is where you truly see a man torn apart. This is a great drama!
Want to survive a Zombie invasion, don't look here

When you watch Zombie Diaries 2, you'd probably want to write in your diary how not to survive during a viral outbreak! It follows a handful of troops and civilians that are trying to make it to the coast after a military barrack is overrun by the walking dead, but the shaky-camera syndrome, poor acting and unimpressive, repetitive terrain just ruined it for me. And the zombies you ask? Well, they aren't the worst, but there just isn't enough to make this movie seem as though they have taken over the population.
I've heard about this movie for sometime, but passed it over, because so many action movies have been a mixed bag lately. Am I glad I picked this one up!! It started as an adrenaline rush that found itself constantly growing throughout--with martial arts, guns and more martial arts! Cyril Raffaelli and David Belle form a chemistry that is unrivaled, destroying enemies left and right, while trying to save the war-torn ghetto District B13 from extinction.
