A Cinderella Story arrives on DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, French, and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by star Hilary Duff and others, deleted scenes, a music video for the song "Our Lips Are Sealed," sung by Hilary and her sister Haylie, an interactive game, and the film's theatrical trailer. This disc is highly recommended to fans of Hilary Duff

This movie is a little different which I kind of liked but it had a weird feeling to it. It was funny though.

This is one of the best sitcoms on tv now. I watch it every night and season three was really good so I had to buy it.

An ocean-themed Florida amusement park comes under attack from an angry Great White shark in this third installment of the horror series. The film maintains only a loose relationship to the original Steven Spielberg hit, centering on Mike (Dennis Quaid) and Sean (John Putch), the sons of police chief Martin Brody (originally played by Roy Scheider). Mike works at Sea World, where a baby Great White shark has accidentially been let into the park. Soon, the baby's vicious and extremely powerful mother comes in search of her child. The film focuses most of its attention on the series of tense shark attacks that follow, as tourists run for their lives while the park workers struggle to destroy the sharp-toothed beast. The suspense sequences were made somewhat more memorable during the film's original release with 3-D photography, an attribute lost on video, thereby removing the most distinctive element of an otherwise run-of-the-mill sequel.

They should have stopped making these after the first Jaws.

The hit teen comedy Mean Girls debuts on DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the film's original theatrical aspect ratio. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a second English soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by director Mark Waters, screenwriter Tina Fey, and producer Lorne Michaels. They provide many humorous moments during their discussion, which is dominated by the director and the screenwriter. They are full of praise for the cast. Deleted scenes with optional commentary by Waters and Fey, a blooper reel, three making-of featurettes, and the film's original theatrical trailer round out this release. This is a solid release from Paramount.

Michael Keaton, Andie MacDowell. The blockbuster comedy about a busy dad who clones himself when he decides that he's not spending enough time with the wife and kids. 1996/color/110 min/PG-13/widescreen.

Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan are at it again in this high-flying sequel to the surprise 2000 hit Shanghai Noon. Like the first film's release, Touchstone has once again delivered a grand DVD, with extras that will wet the whistle of any action devotee. The disc comes with a sharp widescreen 2.35:1 picture and is formatted for 16 x 9 televisions for all you lucky widescreen-TV owners. Sound options range from Dolby Digital 5.1 to a fantastic THX track; there is also an audio commentary with director David Dobkin along with another track with screenwriters Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The extras really heat up with the sit-down interview with Dobkin and Chan about the fight choreography in the "Fight Manual" behind-the-scenes featurette. Considering his disappointment with the original Rush Hour's action scenes, these clips show Chan taking charge while working with the cast and crew, making sure each scene is not only entertaining, but also one that fits the story. Equally impressive are most of the 11 deleted scenes, with four of them fully uncut fight scenes which highlight more of the carefully choreographed exceptional martial arts footwork from Chan and others from the film (including Donnie Yen, who was poorly featured in the final cut). Also on the disc is "Action Overload," a compilation of some of the best clips from the film which have been sepia-toned and put to old-time music (which pretty much makes it a throwaway extra compared to the rest of the disc). With the majority of the features spotlighting the action, this disc should be a winner for old and new Jackie Chan fans alike.

Nancy Meyers' hit comedy Something's Gotta Give comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, French, and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a pair of commentary tracks. The first features Meyers with female lead Diane Keaton (who earned an Oscar nomination for her work in this film) and producer Bruce A. Block. Obviously, Meyers deeply appreciated Keaton's work on the film, and the track is long on good fun if short on much notable filmmaking information. The second track features Meyers and male lead Jack Nicholson. Their track is much like an episode of Inside the Actor's Studio. Meyers fawns over Nicholson, but Nicholson goes into a certain amount of detail about how he shapes a character, and how he concentrates on the nuances of his character. This is a rather intriguing commentary. A deleted scene in which Nicholson's character sings to Keaton's, a tour of the film's main set hosted by co-star Amanda Peet, and filmographies round out this solid DVD.

Directed by Garry Marshall, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement picks up where its predecessor left off -- that is, with American teenager Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway) reeling over the news that she is a princess within the royal family of Genovia, a little-known European nation with a population of barely 50,000. As promised, Mia, along with her best friend, Lily (Heather Matarazzo), travels to Genovia after their high-school graduation. The unlikely princess has hardly settled into the castle, let alone begun representing the country, when she learns that a larger title is approaching more rapidly than expected; it seems as though Mia will have to take over as queen. Suddenly, in addition to further schooling on the etiquette of royalty, Mia finds herself with a daunting prospect -- according to Genovian law, all princesses must be married before they can be crowned. In addition to Julie Andrews' reprisal of her role as Queen Clarisse Renaldi, The Princess Diaries 2 also features Hector Elizondo and John Rhys-Davies in supporting roles. Though Princess Diaries author Meg Cabot did pen a sequel (The Princess Diaries: Princess in the Spotlight), this film is not an adaptation.

IS IT WORTH PAYING SOMEONE TO CALABRATE OR TWEEK THE SETTINGS ON MY SAMSUNG 52A650 LCD

Yes!! It is very much worth it. They make your tv look the very best that it can in your setting. I would recommend anyone doing this with a tv 42" or larger.
