Wayne's World, one of the few Saturday Night Live skits to become a successful movie, also makes for a fine DVD. First off, Paramount presents the disc in its original aspect ratio of 1.85:1, and it is anamorphic. While the image shows some of the signs of a relatively low budget, it still looks very good. Colors are realistic though detail is not always as strong as would be hoped for. The sound, which has been remastered in Dolby Digital 5.1, is clear and distortion free, even though there is a lack of any surround material. It wouldn't be expected in a film like this, so it's no disappointment. Also available are English and French surround tracks. A real surprise is the addition of a new audio commentary from director Penelope Spheeris. Her enthusiasm makes for a fine track with little gaps and plenty of personal and professional anecdotes. It's obvious that she has a love for this film. Next up is a half-hour of interviews with the cast and crew. These are very well put together and also show how much they enjoyed making this film. Rounding out this nice disc is the theatrical trailer. Fans of this film should not pass up the disc, which they will find to be well worth their money.

This collection of comic highlights from Will Ferrell's tenure on Saturday Night Live gets a solid presentation for its release on DVD. The meterial included on Saturday Night Live: The Best of Will Ferrell has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspet ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo. No multiple language options have been included, though the sketches have been closed cpationed in English. Bonus material on this disc includes highlights from Ferrell's audition tapes, a collection of outtakes, footage from SNL dress rehearsals, and a gallery of still photos.

Depp kept this movie alive. Without him it would have been terrible. And his flashbacks were weird.

The Terminator features a wonderful 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer that is remarkable for a film released back in 1984. A few specks of dirt appear on the print, but they're extremely minor and don't hinder the experience in any way. This disc includes a brand-new 5.1-channel Dolby Surround transfer that showcases a significant amount of power and depth. It also contains the original mono track, which lacks the strength of its companion but does have a balanced level of sound. This special edition of The Terminator contains an impressive collection of supplements that should please its many devout fans. The highlights are two well-done documentaries that provide plenty of background material. "Other Voices" is a comprehensive new extra that includes basically everyone involved with the film in a significant capacity. "The Terminator -- A Retrospective" features an informal conversation between James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1992 about their experiences making the film. The other major inclusion is seven deleted scenes that are more interesting than the usual throwaway moments. Cameron offers commentary on each cut and tries to explain why he made the deletion. There's also a large still gallery that contains numerous drawings and photographs in five categories. The most interesting section includes artwork by Cameron of his original concepts and storyboarded sequences. This disc offers fans a chance at reading Cameron's original film treatment. Written in 1982, it's very extensive and includes the basic structure for the final version. There are also several original theatrical trailers and television commercials included on this release.

Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The color scheme comes across very well with the bright colors really popping off the screen. An English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while French and Spanish soundtracks have been recorded in Dolby Stereo Surround. Subtitles are accessible in all three of those languages as well. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by cast members Jennifer Coolidge, Jessica Cauffiel, and Alanna Ubach. They giggle a great deal and offer very little insight into the making of the film. The track has a very slumber party vibe. A making-of featurette, an interactive quiz, a photo gallery, trailers, and a music video from country superstar LeAnn Rimes rounds out this solid release from MGM.

Clive Donner directs the legendary George C. Scott in this production of A Christmas Carol that comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer. The closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, but this 20th Century Fox release should satisfy fans of the film as well as those looking for a family-friendly holiday title.

This performance video is a collection of highlights from standup comedy routines made during a tour across America during the summer of 2002. Directed by C.B. Harding (The Osbournes), The Blue Collar Comedy Tour Movie also incorporates behind-the-scenes segments with the individual comedians. Along the same lines as The Original Kings of Comedy, but marketed toward a radically different crowd, this comedy concert headlines the top names in so-called "redneck" humor: Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White, and Larry the Cable Guy. This film arrives after the four performers spent two years on the road and released the best-selling comedy record Blue Collar Comedy Tour Live.

IS IT WORTH PAYING SOMEONE TO CALABRATE OR TWEEK THE SETTINGS ON MY SAMSUNG 52A650 LCD

Yes!! It is very much worth it. They make your tv look the very best that it can in your setting. I would recommend anyone doing this with a tv 42" or larger.
