John Cherry directs Jim Varney in the comedy Ernest Saves Christmas, which comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. There are no subtitles, but the soundtrack is closed-captioned. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, making it quite difficult to recommend this Disney/Buena Vista release to anyone who is not an Ernest fan. There is little here for the average DVD consumer.

Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans play a pair of cops who discover that going undercover can be a real drag in this comedy, which gets a handful of bonus features for this unrated DVD edition. White Chicks has been given a letterboxed transfer to disc in the widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1, which has also been enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors. The audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital 5.1; in addition to the original English-language soundtrack, this disc also features an alternate track dubbed in French, as well as optional English and French subtitles. Bonus materials include a commentary track from the Wayans brothers, a short documentary on the making of the movie, another documentary on the film's special effects, a look at the serious business of creating a comedy, filmographies for the key cast and crew members, and a collection of preview trailers.

This movie has its funny part but it gets a little slow at times.

Anaconda slithers onto single-layered DVD with two picture format options: widescreen anamorphic (2.35:1 theatrical aspect ratio) and standard full-screen (1.33:1 aspect ratio). Sound/audio options include the following: English (Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround), English (Dolby Digital 5.1), Spanish (Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround), and French (Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround), with subtitles available in English, Spanish, and French. Closed captioning is also available. Despite the effort put into remastering the sound -- which is superbly resonant and crisp -- and providing a crystal-clear picture, special or bonus features on this DVD are limited to the usual original theatrical trailers.

Was a kind of fun to watch but the snake wasn't realistic.
Yes!! It is very much worth it. They make your tv look the very best that it can in your setting. I would recommend anyone doing this with a tv 42" or larger.
