Arnold Schwarzenegger's action hit Eraser comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that faithfully reproduces the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Extra features include cast and crew biographies and a theatrical trailer. The film is solid if less than inspired, much like this disc. This disc will appeal to Schwarzenegger fans and genre enthusiasts.

This movie could have been a lot better. It was slow and I never really got into it.

Disney's loveable Rescuers head for the Australian outback in this exciting addition to the Classic Gold Collection DVD. Featuring a 1.66:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer in addition to the choice of either closed-captioned English Dolby Digital 4.0 or Spanish or French Dolby Digital Surround, children will follow the Rescuers on another exciting adventure. Extra features include a theatrical trailer, an interactive trivia game, a Disney DVD storybook and an "Animals of the Outback" booklet that will keep children delighted and entertained for hours on end.

Dennie Gordon directs Saturday Night Live alumnus David Spade in the comedy Joe Dirt, which comes to DVD with a pair of transfers. The widescreen anamorphic transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and is preferable to the standard full-frame transfer. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. Subtitles are accessible in both of these languages as well. Supplemental materials include a pair of commentary tracks (one by the director and the other by Spade), deleted scenes, a blooper reel, production notes, and theatrical trailers. Whatever one thinks of the film, Columbia/TriStar has done a great job with this disc.

Fans of Val Kilmer and '80s comedies will be sure to enjoy this clever and humorous teen film chronicling the wacky exploits of a group of college overachievers who just can't seem to check their genius IQs at the party school door. The Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment's DVD is no-frills, but the disc is nevertheless a must. The picture has been remastered in high definition and is presented in its original 2.35:1 aspect ratio (enhanced). The picture is excellent, as is the English Dolby Surround audio track. A pan-and-scan transfer is available on the flip side of the disc. The disc also comes with multiple subtitle options, chapter stops, and some bonus trailers for other Columbia TriStar releases.

Will Smith really makes this movie great. Without him, I don't know how good it would have been

The human race is under attack by a vicious race of aliens in 20th Century Fox's spectacular release of director Roland Emmerich's rousing sci-fi action opus Independence Day. Presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen and offering audio rendered in closed-captioned Dolby Digital 5.1, this disc is sure to give any home theater system a hearty workout. In addition to alternate Spanish and French Dolby Digital Surround tracks, this release also offers optional English and Spanish subtitles. Extra features include the ability to view either the original theatrical version of the film or the extended edition, scene-specific commentary by director Emmerich and Dean Devlin, and additional commentary by special effects supervisors Volker Engel and Doug Smith.

I thought that this movie was very funny but you have to be into this type of humor. My fiance wasn't laughing nearly as much as I was.

IS IT WORTH PAYING SOMEONE TO CALABRATE OR TWEEK THE SETTINGS ON MY SAMSUNG 52A650 LCD

Yes!! It is very much worth it. They make your tv look the very best that it can in your setting. I would recommend anyone doing this with a tv 42" or larger.
