What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream. In a city that worships money and status, life is heaven for those who prosper and a living nightmare for those who don't. Developed by the superstar designers at Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto IV continues the exciting legacy of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

Adds Little to the Franchise
on August 5, 2008

Gameplay 6/10 - in essence a glorified GTA III with almost all the same features, some new minigames and side quests, but realism kills a lot of the fun
City 9/10 - incredibly well thought out and realistic city, massive, detailed, has everything that a metropolitan city should have
Vehicles 4/10 - very unimaginative, horrendous driving capability, many cars will roll on turns and will skid on dry pavement, only two special vehicles (helicopter and speedboat)
Controls 5/10 - sloppy, unintuitive, running and walking are nearly useless, weapon cycling is difficult in a firefight
Graphics 6/10 - great visuals on the city, very realistic / cars and other moving object look ok / people and clothes look slightly better than old xbox games rough facial features
Story 8/10 - very good story, considerably different from previous games, a lot of thought put in here.

Excellent juicer

This juicer rocks!!
Been using it for two weeks, works better than advertised.
Solid piece of engineering, sturdy long lasting parts, excellent workmanship.
Best features are its simplicity and ease of cleaning.
Though named "Compact" the unit is pretty large.
The 700 HP motor is powerful and not too loud. Pulp container is of decent capacity. Do not expect to juice entire apples, unless you are using very small apples.
The pulp extract is pretty dry so you are getting almost all the juice out of the fruit/vegetables with this unit.
Nothing better than fresh juice and this juicer makes the whole experience a breeze.
Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for easy maintenance good long lasting juicer .

Canon EF 180mm f/3.5L Macro USM Lens: Take beautifully detailed pictures of distant subjects with this telephoto macro lens. The long focal length combined with the 1:1 magnification lets you zoom in on that faraway exotic flower or gorgeous butterfly, so it appears close enough to touch.

Canon's Best Macro Lens
on July 31, 2008

I spend most of my time as a photographer taking macro photographs of flowers and other small things in nature. I chose this lens over Canon's 50mm macro and 100mm macro for two reasons: (1) it is constructed with higher quality UD glass, so it has great color and contrast, and it's incredibly sharp at all f/stops, and (2) at 180mm, it allows you to stay farther away from your subjects and still focus to 1:1. This makes it easier take photographs without disturbing your subjects and it allows you to have a smaller, more blurry area in the background so that the background doesn't compete with the subject for attention. The lens also comes with a tripod color, which allows you conveniently change from vertical to horizontal, and it adds stability with your lens better balanced on your tripod.
The lens has an ultrasonic motor, so it's fast and quiet when focusing, though I highly recommend setting the focus limiter 1.5m-infinity when not shooting macro photography. It will speed up the time it takes for the lens to focus. The only drawback I can find with the lens is that it is constructed with only an 8 blade aperture diaphram. Theoretically, with a higher number of blades, it would allow more natural blurs, but I can say I've never noticed a problem in my photographs.
