Gamers occupy two distinct, staunchly divided worlds. On the move, app addicts tap away at the touch screens of their mobile phones, slinging birds at pigs or battling zombies with flowers and trees. In the living room, die-hard franchise fans disappear into the battlefields of blockbuster video games that explode onto large-screen HDTVs. From these two separate realities, we all want one thing — gaming's best. OUYA is a new kind of console that turns the gaming world upside-down — bringing the open mobile model to TV for the first time. It looks like a piece of artwork, is developed like a mobile phone, delivers high-definition like a console — and yet is so very different from anything you've seen before.Introducing a whole new way to experience games and entertainment on your TV, OUYA runs on the Android operating system — becoming the first and only console to lets you develop and publish your own games. If you can program for Android, you can program for OUYA — it comes with an SDK built in, giving you all the tools you'll need to make, submit and publish a great game. The Android OS also means you'll have a custom user interface and game store right at your fingertips, stocked not only with games, like the legendary Final Fantasy franchise, but also tons of your favorite Android apps, videos from VEVO, music from iHeartRadio, streaming games from TwitchTV and more entertainment options. There are no discs to buy or scratch — download games directly to OUYA. When it comes to taking the action on screen, OUYA does it the right way, with impeccable graphics rendered by the NVIDIA Tegra3 quad-core processor, high-definition picture via HDMI and wireless navigation with the 2.4GHz controller. Bringing the fractured gaming world together and giving the power to the people — that's what OUYA can do. OUYA

Wow, talk about not ready for primetime

After the long wait from Kickstarter to retail, the unit's finally here, but it lands with a thud. The user interface is clunky and buggy. The fan is loud. The controller is a joke - its design pretty much flies in the face of modern controller engineering. And then there's the games - nothing at all compelling. There are many, many better games on XBOX Idie game for $1.
Wait for this to hit the bargain bins, if you get it at all.

Best Batman since the NES
on February 24, 2010

This is easily the best Batman in 20 years. It really nails the look and feel of the Batman universe and really puts you in the caped crusader's shoes. The seeing through walls thing breaks the gameplay a little, but that's a pretty small complaint. Loved it.
What's great about it: Nails the Batman aesthetic
What's not so great: Camera's sometimes a little dodgy

GREAT Movie, nice transfer
on October 16, 2008

The director of this movie did a fantastic job integrating real-live actors and a great story into lots of CG. The effect is seamless, which is a testament to his skill. Until we watched the making-of, we assumed the Mark I suit was real since it looked so clunky. Not so! Really excellent movie.
The Blu-Ray transfer is very good, but we were a little disappointed at the lack of outtakes. This project seems custom-made for lots of funny one-liners when great actors screw up.
What's great about it: AMAZINGLY well-integrated CG
What's not so great: Waiting for the sequel

Good action shooter

This game has a great storyline and really good acting that draws you into the game. The action shooting sequences are fun, but the targeting system is really not very accurate. The FF and MF "love" scenes were somewhat unexpected for a game, so be warned.
What's great about it: Nice story with great acting and good graphics
What's not so great: Targeting is really touch and go

Don't Bother with the Zohan

This is basically a high-concept sketch comedy movie with Adam Sandler's friends. The plot is even thinner than usual. There are a few funny gags, but most of them fall flat. I also had to turn subtitles on to understand some of the dialogue since it had so much forced gutteral noises to make it sound more "Israeli" that it was hard to understand.
Fast forward is your friend with this one.

SSX Tricky for ATVs
on October 9, 2008

This game is like a cross between SSX Tricky and Downhill Domination. You get a great sense of speed when moving through the tracks and can do some really crazy-unrealsitic tricks that are fun to pull off. It's a little short on variety, but what is there is fun for a while.
What's great about it: Crazy tricks, great sense of speed
What's not so great: A little glitchy, can get repetitive

SynopsisReturn to the delightful world of Pinata Island, where exotic and colorful pinatas roam free. The only way to thwart Pester's plot is to send pinatas at full candiosity to parties all over the globe. Will you be able to put a stop to the professor's fiendish plan, or are parties everywhere doomed to remain without the sweet and sugary fun that only a pinata can provide? In this sequel to the charming Viva Pinata, you'll experience once more the unique delights of beautiful Pinata Island. Do your best to save the world from the grim prospect of a future filled with pinata-free parties, all while building and maintaining pinata gardens that will help you attract more than 100 amazing pinata species, including 32 brand-new species. Watch out, though, for the new sour pinatas that are liable to wreak havoc in your garden unless you feed them candy to keep them on the sweet side. Solid Sequel in the Viva Pinata series
on October 8, 2008
Posted by: supahgrandpoobahnator

The first Viva Pinata was a fun title, but some aspects were a little frustrating. This title has taken the first title and smoothed over the rough edges while adding tons of fun gameplay extras to make a great sequel. There are over 100 pinatas available now as opposed to 50 or so in the prior title. The garden also can have MANY more items in it. This is a great title.
What's great about it: Fun gameplay, improves on the first title
What's not so great: Some game glitches still present

Too Disappointing

The first impression I had of this game was a huge "WOW"! The game is cool looking, but the problem is that the look doesn't evolve through the game, and the battles and monsters change VERY LITTLE. It feels a lot like doing level 1 over and over and over. Very repetitive and boring gameplay after the first hour's rush wears off.
What's great about it: Interesting concept
What's not so great: Battle is repetitive, script is sub B-movie

Weakest Lego game in a while
on October 5, 2008
Posted by: supahgrandpoobahnator

After the great Lego Indy game, we were really looking forward to this one and were unfortunately very disappointed. The collision detection seems to be very spotty in places and the game is much more tedious than fun. Also, the game visually is much darker than Star Wars or Indy. Very unfortunate. Hopefully the next LEGO game will put the series back on track.
What's great about it: Captures the universe of the older-style batman
What's not so great: Tedious gameplay, spotty collision detection

Where's the Beef?

This is a decent KISS compliation CD, but the weird thing is that there's quite a bit of "lesser" songs on it, when there are some great KISS songs that aren't there. Also, the "God Gave Rock and Roll II" version that closes the CD is inferior to the other version of this song they covered. Just doesn't have the heart.
Still, there are enough great songs to recommend this. Just don't expect "the very best" all the way through.
What's great about it: Lots of Kiss Classics
What's not so great: Quite a few that aren't "the very best"

I thought this game what's going to be wonderful but turned out that there was the big time lag and the game performance. I have very fast internet so there should have been a problem. Tried to return the item but was unable to. Not happy.

The Lag is your TV
February 15, 2015
You need to put your TV in game mode to reduce the lag if the game is lagging on you. Many cheap LCD TVs (like Vizio, Westinghouse, etc) have terrible lag. It's probably your TV. If you have game mode, that will help.

how can i get pictures off memory card in digital camera

Plug your camera into the computer using a USB cable, or use the camera's wifi (if it has that), or remove the memory card from the camera and plug it into the computer's memory card port. If it doesn't have memory card ports, you'll have to buy an adapter - cost is less than $20 in most cases.

where is a canon camera repair service in ft myers fl

You have to send the camera in. Good news is Canon has an upgrade program where you can turn in your broken Canon and step up to a better model cheaply. Also, some cameras have recalls where they'll fix them out of warranty for free.

Can you watch HD movies taken with a camera on a regular TV

If I purchase a camera that takes HD movies will I be able to watch them on a regular TV? Thanks.
If you transfer the video from your camera to your computer and then burn the video on DVD, you can watch it. Also, some cameras have direct video output, which would allow you to plug the camera directly into the TV and play it straight from the camera.
