Took me awhile unlike my 32" Samsung I bought last week this set needed some adjustments.
No with everything YMMV with these settings but it will get you close to where you can really see the TV pop out at you from the screen.

I was disappointed that one of the CD drives didn't have a CD drive in it and there was no USB ports or card readers in the front.

I bought it two weeks ago...My main issue is that it only came with 2 HDMI connections... WTH.. I got three gaming counsels & a Blu-ray player. I don't like using my gaming counsels two watch movies. So I have to be connecting from counsel to Blu-ray back & forth. The audio is very low when we are watching Netflix. I have to get the volume level up to 80 to get any decent sound out of it.. but when of Netflix audio is better. While gaming it's good too.. So it may not be as bad. Unless you are om Netflix all the time... I will eventually have to get a sound bar, but even that will be a hassle cause the sound bars I've looked into witch are Samsung connect via HDMI or optic cable.. Picture wise I can't complain it looks pretty good. I don't know how Motion Rate 120 works or know what it means, but playing games on it is great... watching sports on it is okay when i watch soccer matches the tends to look like a streak, but i don't watch much soccer. HDMI though..

The audio does suck on this and I thought the fact this TV has an Optical Audio out I thought it would pass a 5.1 signal to my AV receiver it does not.
It will only pass a 2 channel PCM signal which I wish Samsung would have been more clear on.
To that point I'm glad I have a PS3 which is what I use for Netflix Hulu etc because that does pass a 5.1 signal to my receiver, so in my opinion the Smart TV aspect of this TV is of no use although I'm sure some will find it helpful and beneficial.

My wife bought me the TV for our anniversary which was 17 days after it was purchased. The screen was broken when we took it out of the box. Best Buy said since it was past the 15 day return policy they couldn't do anything but the Samsung warranty should take care of it. Samsung denied it due to it having physical damage. A brand new TV damaged when purchased that neither Best Buy or Samsung will replace or repair. Lessons learned - Don't purchase anything else from Best Buy or made by Samsung.

Having owned a 75 inch Samsung j6300 tv and really loving the picture quality, I got a great price on this 55 inch version for the bedroom. I have been tweaking the picture settings for a period of 2-3 months at even copying the settings of my 75 incher, but to no avail. Picture quality is ok, just not great. I still find myself occasionally tinkering with the picture settings.

It's hardly fair to compare a $2,000 dollar TV to a $500.00 dollar TV in my opinion but with that being said have you tried the settings I posted earlier in the review section? It can be found three or four down under the most helpful topic.

Can it burn dvds as well as read them?
I know it has a dvd tray but I would like to burn videos to a dvd. Can it only watch dvds or burn them too?
It's a CD/DVD player burner.
