It worked just like I expected it too but better. I used it at a work party in a limo and it worked great for getting the whole inside limo in the shot! My favorite shots to use this lens with are vehicles and cities. I am still exploring uses for it!
What's great about it: Distortion, Fits whole view, Great perspective
What's not so great: Distortion-this is only bad if you don't want it
I would recommend this to a friend!

Canon 55–250mm f/4–5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens: A compact, lightweight and versatile lens for general-purpose telephoto photography. Optical image stabilization technology allows you to use slower shutter speeds without image blur. Plus a UD-glass lens element corrects chromatic aberration, for excellent image quality throughout the zoom range.

I loved my camera already but once I bought this lens it was hard to go back to the regular lens. This is ideal for portraits, flowers, far away subjects, animals, etc. It exceeded my expectations.
What's great about it: image stabilization and depth of field
What's not so great: nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!
