BEATLESFAN's Reviews

Experience the theatrical versions of Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in stunning high definition. Three DVDs featuring over six hours of bonus materials are also included, as are digital copies of each film.

I didn't get the dvd extended version after buying the regular version because I was waiting for them to come out in blue-ray. It makes sense to wait for the extended version. They won't suck me in this time.
What's great about it: Everything!
What's not so great: Hobbits a little too gay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Arguably the first great rock and roll movie, Richard Lester's A Hard Day's Night comes to DVD with this two-disc set from Disney/Buena Vista. The transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio. The English soundtrack is impressively rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Supplemental materials include extensive interviews with many people involved with the production, although there is no new material featuring any of The Beatles. This is a solid release that should please the casual fan as well as hardcore Beatlemaniacs.

If played on a standard dvd player system, the music gets louder. I always have to adjust the sound when the muisc starts and ends.
Of course, a must for all Beatle fans.
I would recommend this to a friend!
