I have this set up in my home office. I get good wireless speeds on my office laptop, but the PS3 wireless speeds in another room are not very good. Traveling in a straight line, the PS3 is about 30 feet from the router, but there are walls in between. My WD MyNet AC1300 died after a year so I got this to replace it. Hopefully it will last longer. It does seem to cause interference in my nearby desktop speakers, which no other router I've ever owned has done.

What's great about it: Easy to set up, better looking than most routers
What's not so great: Wireless speeds vary from device to device

This would make an excellent laptop for a college student, but may be something that someone might want to steal on campus so beware. The only negative is that it's not a touchscreen. If that doesn't bother you, then I would recommend it.
