Experience dynamic sound with these ELAC bookshelf speakers. Each black brushed-vinyl speaker has a maximum 120W power output, driving exceptional performance from an oversize magnet in a 6.5-inch aramid fiber cone woofer, accompanied by a 1-inch cloth dome tweeter. These ELAC bookshelf speakers have two-way bass reflex and 87dB sensitivity for an incredible sound profile.

Solid packaging box-in-a-box, plastic sleeves & foam pads,well done.
First impressions are that they look much better than presented on line, great! wiring them in great little binding posts add to the solid feel.Not BiWire but thats not important to me I'm downsizing from 4-large speakers to two of these rather small speakers, using the same Amp (120 wpc/rms)...What bass, most importantly well done BASS!!!--Mids are quite flat and proper, and highs are very 'british' laid back but present and accurate. I have these on 30-inch stands about 2-ft from side and back walls...Astonishing imaging !!! the 3D sound presentation is remarkable considering this is a stereo amp. The freq.response sounds flat and uncolored, and although big, the low bass is tight and fast. These truly are Audiophile Quality in design,finish and excecution. I think you would need to spend a LOT more $$$ to even come close to the qualityof this package, and yes its a matched pair. ABSOLUTELY reccommend !!!

ok Im an audiophile, hey i need durable shove-in-your pocket HP's too!--they remind me very very much of the new sony speakers, and that aint bad...except i got these a lot cheaper!..ok really they wont reproduce a cliniclly sounding symphony, but for all forms of music you will find them to be musical, listenble,PLEASANT sounding for long periods of time. so if you find yourself in waiting rooms, commuting or travelling--these ill do better than 'just-fine' also i think they are nicer to listen to than my pricy earbuds. ---they are small very light, easily fold up and are very efficient (24-ohms)..and they sound like the sony speakers, really good bass BTW; howcan you possibly go wrong get them & use them with other HP's see ..?

I have had Norelco, Braun,Panasonic and other razors over the years..incl. the old-fashioned single blade! The minute i got this home i unboxed--Its already charged up!! shaved my old stubble in less than 2-minutes-clean-- Now, it takes less than one minute/day to keep clean-shaven.There is NO REASON to pay more than $30. for a good razor anymore.

4.1 stereo w/ energy esw-c10 sub. wanted to add a bit of punch so ordered this yamaha expecting a little bonus-bass. WOW! this thing adds a PUNCH-between 40-110 hz. exactly what the dr. ordered for deep bass ...and accurate too. small ,unassuming...but highly recommended!!!

Use the 'sensor-cook' feature quite often....just push the button and touch 'start' it beeps when its done-Thats it! ...works beautifully.you dont have to guess how long or power level it does it automatically.(you can go the old fashioned way if you wish--but why?) 3-popcorn settings and quick-minute are quite useful too.VERY powerful and faster than most too.--one 'con' we have is that its a bit noisier than our older unit--but the pro's definitely outweigh that minor issue..ENJOY!!

VERY Surprised !

having recvd' these as a gift recently i was somewhat taken aback with the small size. They feel solid and have very good gold-plated binding posts. I replaced some big name speakers with these little gems in a 4.1 stereo@ 90/wpc.Right out of the box they sounded rich and provided more bottom than expected from a 4'' woofer. Silk dome tweeter was a bit harsh initially, however has loosened up after a week or so.**THESE need at least 60-100 hours to 'break-in' so dont be surprised if they sound a little harsh right away. Patience pays off as they now sound quite good-comparable to speakers in the 300-400$ range ! Really!. They can take a lot of power and will go pretty loud if thats what you want. A neutral signature with a very wide soundstage--very very IMPRESSIVE little gems!

Used as rear speakers in a medium to large room. High power receiver & audiophile main speakers w/an audiophile SACD & cables. @ 90db and 8ohms these are a relatively easy load for any amp./reciever. They are not a new design but rather an update of an older design that seems fairly practical. 6-1/2"woofer w/butyl surround and a soft-dome tweeter. The box is standard-issue matte-black-and SOLID>very well built, also featuring the 'venturi' style port for extended bass. THIS DESIGN WORKS!!
Very solid bass pretty well extended for a smallish speaker.Never have i heard bass distortion even when i push them. The sound is natural w/great dynamics and shimmering highs. not metallic or syballent.--wider than expected staging also. All in all a very very nice overall sound comparable to MUCH more expensive units,albeit in kindof a plain package.

I have a 4.2 stereo setup,analog. After I installed, the unit-based crossover was INOPERATIVE. Turns out this can ONLY be freq.-adjusted based upon a HOME THEATRE-style reciever. Not having that, it sounded TERRIBLE.(no internal eq. on my 2-channel recvr.)..Long story short--Know this going in!!! Luckily my local BB store was open minded and allowed me to swap for an appropriate sub (ENERGY ECW-10) that works on an analog system, so all is well!!!!!
What's great about it: compact size
What's not so great: Needs to adj.crossover ON RECIEVER-ONLY
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First Impression; Its LOUD ALLRIght! Then I remebered the break-in period,which could be 2-3 months. No problem. Used in a 4.2 Mid-power stereo,primarily for music. 2-weeks in....better, 2-months in...MUCH better.....now, approx. 5-months in ...Wonderful.!!!! not saying that you need to wait, but in THIS case patience DOES payoff! sounded 'good' right out of the box...but it gets very very good!!! No need to 'crank-it' either.My best results seem to be around 60% gain, set at 45hz. This thing will not only shake the house, but give you some very good detail while doing it!!! spec's seem underrated; I feel some mid 20's hz vibrations 60-feet away!!! EXCELLENT VALUE imho.
What's great about it: build quality- low end speed - easy to setup- sonic quality
What's not so great: Larger than i thought--but thats ok
I would recommend this to a friend!

How do I exactly connect these to my tv?
you need an amplifier or receiver in between these are 'passive' not amplified.

what is the the total tax for the Sony - 8" 3-Way Floorstanding Speakers
I have a set of these currently in my closet.NOT being used! I have found that smaller stand or bookshelf-type speakers to be of higher quality and provide better sound,particularly in that price range--please audition some in your local store.
