Unique synthesizer and moving sequencing of music. TD music is not easy to find in stores. Tried orderigna few online through BB and several were out of print or backordered and unable to locate.
What's great about it: One of the few I could ge, but still good
This is such a great movie, with great acting, and moving story line. Tough to find this anywhere (rental/store or library) and nothing like owning this piece of history.
The plot of William Friedkin's suspense thriller originated with the same Georges Arnaud novel that inspired Henri-Georges Clouzot's French suspense classic The Wages of Fear (1953). Roy Scheider, Bruno Cremer, Francisco Rabal, and Amidou play four men who, for various reasons, cannot return to their own countries. They end up in a dismal South American town where an American oil company is seeking out courageous drivers willing to haul nitroglycerin over 200 miles of treacherous terrain. The four stateless men have nothing to lose--and, besides, they'll be paid $10,000 apiece, and be granted legal citizenship, if they survive. The suspense is almost unbearable at times, even outdistancing the tension level of The Wages of Fear in certain scenes. Sorcerer had all the earmarks of a moneymaker, but Friedkin went well over budget, there was the glaringly inappropriate title: fans of Friedkin's The Exorcist may have gone home disappointed that not one sorcerer ever rears its ugly head.

Although Scorcese screwed up with the name that had nothing (barely) to do with the film or story, the film was great. Price was great and it was a classic with a great soundtrack by Tangerine Dream. The DVD was pretty basic with no extras. Couldn't find it at any video store/rental or library.
What's great about it: Story line, soundtrack, and quality for a film once on a reel.
Combine this with Volume I and you have everything you need of studio and live classic King Crimson featuring the best songs that show the eclectic and talented naturs of its evolving artists. I don't really need to buy another Krimson CD.
What's great about it: It's got all the best music in studio and live formats, good quality
Combine this with Volume II and you have everything you need of studio and live classic King Crimson featuring the best songs that show the eclectic and talented naturs of its evolving artists. I don't really need to buy another Krimson CD.
What's great about it: All the best music in studio and live formats. Good Quality
First had Volume 1 on a cassetter and was waiting for it to come out on CD. As a 3 volume collection on 2 CDs, it's a good buy for some classy jazz/funk style of 2 of the finest musicians out there.
What's great about it: Quality of the recording, and the release of some hard to find music.
What's not so great: There are a couple of short filler riff songs which I wish was full length songs.
