Robert Young's made-for-television adaptation of Jane Eyre comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that preserves the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. English subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a featurette about Charlotte Bronte. This is a fine release for fans of literary adaptations and costume dramas.

This is the best Jane Eyre that I have seen, and believe me I have read the book and seen everyone, every made. The parts are played by people that really fit the rolls and that you can believe are the type of people described in the book. Something that you donot always find. So many times you read the book and have such a clear picture of what each person looks like, then they make it into a film and you go who are these people.
What's great about it: followed the book, made the book come alive had the feeling of being a part of the story
It is a good series and it has people that really believe in what they are doing and the do a good job of tracking down and documenting there sources. Including tracking down flim, witness' , even items including a car that had been hit by what they believe to of been a flying unknown craft.
What's great about it: It is a very well put together and I enjoy watching it each time I watch
What's not so great: to short / wish it was widescreen
