Great Fan, Just Wobbles A Bit.

I've been using the Holmes Star Elite stackable digital fan for about a week and I'm overall impressed. However, due to its tall stature it's a little wobbly.
Inside the package there are four pieces to the fan. There was a base stand, the motor, the fan and the controller module. Also a canvas bag that fits all its parts for winter storage. All the modules were easy to assemble. All it took was a little twist and they locked right into place.
The features I like most about the fan is that it comes with a remote control. So I don't have to get up and operate it manually. It has 4 fan speeds and it oscillates about 160-degrees. But there are no up or down adjustments. At its highest setting I can feel the breeze from 12 feet away.
The only downside is that the fan is a bit wobbly. This isn't a major issue, but it's something to keep in mind if you have small children or pets. Every time my big dog ran past it I thought he was going to knock it down.
With all that said, this fan is an overall good value and I would recommend buying it.

The Most Comprehensive Trimming System Available.

I've spent the last week testing the Philips Multigroom 7000. Overall I think this is the most comprehensive multi-purpose hair trimmer I have ever used.
The first thing I love about this trimmer series is that the shaver feels very premium. The size and shape are very ergonomic which makes handling the shaver in different hand positions very comfortable. Also, the battery lasts a long time. In my week of use I still haven’t had to charge it. in addition, it works in both wet and dry conditions. As for the accessories, it came with the standard square head, nose trimmer, T outliner and a precision edger. which are great for getting straight lines and cutting in hard to get to crevices. It also came with multiple hair guards to include two adjustable hair guards. All of which ensure I get the exact hair length I need in all face, head or body hair trimming situations. The only thing missing is an attachment for smooth shaving.
With all that said I love this shaver and I recommend it for anyone that wants a comprehensive trimming solution and doesn't need to do any smooth shaving.

Awesome, High-Quality, User Friendly & Convenient

I've been testing the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool for about a week. Overall, I think this is an awesome 3-in-1 device that is extremely user friendly. It also conveniently comes with a physical remote control and mobile app that has all the same function options as the physical remote control.
The first thing I love about it is that it does a fantastic job of showing me real time statistics of the indoor and outdoor air quality of my house. For example, it tells me the indoor temperature, humidity level, VOC (Volatile organic compound) levels, and PM (particulate Matter) levels. If I open my front door or burn some toast, I can instantly see the change in air quality. Then Dyson immediately goes to work getting those levels down to a healthy level.
I also love the humidifying abilities of it. I suffer from chronic sinusitis which causes me to have dry sinuses and headaches if the air is too dry. When this happens, I place the Dyson a few feet from me, and I can immediately feel the comfort of the moisturized air.
It also is an excellent fan. In its lowest fan speed settings of 5 or below it is almost completely inaudible. When set between 5 and 10 it becomes audible. However, it is an acceptable level. Other competitor devices usually sound like a Jet is about to take off in my living room.
When I combine the fan and humidifier functions of the Dyson it does an excellent job of providing a cool, comfortable moist breeze. It won't change the temperature of the room, but it does make the room feel cooler.
The product works well overall and if you are looking for a high-quality humidifier/air purifier with the ability to control/track things conveniently on your mobile devices, I would highly recommend this product.

Good Alternative To Earbuds And Earphones.

I've been waiting for bone conduction headphones to go mainstream for a few years. So, I was excited to test out the Shockz - OpenComm UC Wireless Bone Conduction Headphones. These Bone conduction headphones sit on the outside of my ears and bypass my ear canal completely. Meaning I can stick my fingers or earplugs into my ears and still clearly hear the sounds it is outputting. They are ideal for people that do not like earbuds in their ear canal, and do not like the heat or pressure of earphones on their ears. They are also exceptionally light and comfortable.
As for the sound quality, it is surprisingly good. While listening to music, vocals were clear, and instruments had great sound separation. The only thing that was lacking was the boom of low-end bass in my ears. However, I could still feel the bass tapping on my face. When I was watching videos on my phone the sound was perfectly synchronized with the videos and everything sounded great. Phone and video calls are where these really stand out. On both ends of the call voices were crystal clear.
My only gripes with these headphones are that they are one size fits all and there is no adjustment for the band that goes around the back of my head. I would have preferred if they fit me tighter. Also, they are not very pocketable, and they bleed a lot of sound to the environment around me.
With all that said, they are a good set of headphones and are a great alternative to earbuds and earphones.

Great Sound And Love the Second HDMI Port

I've been testing the Samsung HW-Q60B 3.1ch Soundbar for almost two weeks. Overall, I think it is an excellent soundbar and a great upgrade when compared to standard TV speakers.
The design and construction of the soundbar and remote are really nice and give the impression that this is a premium product. Also, it was nice that the soundbar came with mounting hardware. However, the subwoofer on the other hand, feels like it was built for a budget model soundbar. but even with its budget level looks it provided premium level bass. With that said, they all do work well together, and I didn't have any issues setting them all up.
A great feature of this soundbar is that it seamlessly connects to the subwoofer without any user intervention. In my two weeks of use I didn't notice any drop off in connection between the soundbar, woofer or even the TV, everything just worked. Another feature I like about this sound bar is that it has two HDMI ports. Which is great because I was able to plug my TV into one port and have my stereo receiver in the second one. Which allowed me to switch between the two for sound output. I also tested the second HDMI with a streaming stick. I found that the sound output is significantly better when my streaming device is directly connected to the soundbar. However, the second HDMI port did not support eARC so I was not able to control the soundbar using my streaming device remote and vice versa.
The sound quality of this system is excellent. I found that it provided great volume levels, sound separation and a movie theater-like simulated surround experience. This was especially apparent when playing music or the voice of the narrator was bass heavy or when objects moved from one side of the screen to the other. Also playing music sounded fantastic. However, sometimes the dialogue was a little muffled. but I was easily able to remedy that by adjusting the center channel levels. Which is another great feature I forgot to mention. All the levels are individually customizable. There are 10 levels of customization for the woofer, center channel, bass and treble.
With all that said, this is a great soundbar set-up that is easy to recommend.

Excellent sound, Decent Camera, Clamp too strong.

For the last few days, I've been testing out the Samson Go Mic Video webcam and microphone combo. Some of the things I like are that it feels and looks premium. Most of its parts are made of aluminum and some plastic. It is plug and play and works on both mac and PC. Meaning I don't need to download any software or drivers to use it. It's small and easily fits in a laptop bag. Also, it provides excellent sound reproduction and better video than most cameras that are built-in to laptops. However, there is one main thing I don't like about it. The clamp that attaches it to the screen of a laptop is too strong. It provides some great stability, but I can't help fearing that it is going to break my monitor. This is especially scary on newer laptops with small bezels and no gorilla glass. With that said, there are other mounting options like placing it on a table or using a tripod, but then you are either looking up your nose or negating the fact that it has a small form factor because you must carry around a tripod. Overall, it is a nice device but it’s just not for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Value, Easy Installation, Simple UI

For the last week I've been testing the Nextbase 320XR dual camera dashcam. This is my second time testing a Nextbase dashcam and overall, I think they are a great value. This model specifically doesn't have the fancy features you find on more expensive cameras. Such as WIFI, Bluetooth, GPS, touch screen, or a smart assistant, etc.. But I personally don't want any of that on my dash cam. The 1080P resolution, 140-degree field of view and simple user interface are all I need.
Installation was simple. In my use I was installing it in a crossover SUV. It is attached to the windows with adhesive tape. It came with a cable tucking tool and sufficient cabling to run the charger from the cigarette lighter to the magnetic camera bracket. The same applied to the cable that connects the front camera to the rear camera. The recorded picture quality is good both in the day and at night. However, it didn't do a good job capturing license plates while driving. while stationary or in traffic it captures license plates with ease. The default setting for the cameras is 1080P/30 FPS. And while recording it uses about 150 MB per minute on the SD Card. So, I would recommend picking up a larger SD card.
With that said, I think the Nextbase 320XR is a great dashcam. The ease of installation, great performance, simple user interface and basic features are all I need in a dashcam. So, I highly recommend it.

Excellent Performance, But A little Squeaky

This is a great lightweight, cordless stick vacuum that performs well above its price point. It does a good job picking up dirt and dog hair (even long, thick dog hair) and the lights on the vacuum are very helpful for seeing where the dirt and hair is located. I think the lights on the vacuum are much more use useful when using the vacuum on hardwood floors rather than carpet. It is very quiet when you are using it in the regular vacuum mode and just slightly louder when you turn on the “max” function. The “max” function makes this product even more impressive. You can really feel the extra boost of suction when using that feature. I found the “max” feature tends to work better on hardwood floors and remains easy to navigate the vacuum, whereas with carpet it tends to be a bit tougher to move the vacuum around with maximum suction. The dustbin is very easy to open and it is conveniently located so that you can monitor how full it is getting.
The vacuum comes with three handheld attachments as well as a wall mount piece. All the handheld attachments worked very well and were easy to attach/detach. It is nice that there are placeholders on the wall mount to hang the handheld attachments so that they are easily stored near the vacuum.
The battery life on this vacuum is decent, but varies significantly in battery life when using it in the regular vacuum mode vs the “max” mode. The max mode uses up the battery much faster, so I would say it cuts the runtime down by almost half of what you can get out of it in the standard vacuum mode.
The one thing that I didn’t like about this vacuum is that the wheels squeak quite a bit when using it on hardwood floors.
Overall, it is a good product and I highly recommend it.

Great Protection For The Whole Family

I've been testing the McAfee + Premium Family unlimited devices subscription for a few days. Overall, it is a great antivirus suite that includes a VPN, and protection not only for my devices but also my family's devices. This is excellent because the cost of single device licenses can add up quickly. Another thing I like about this subscription is that it also covers multiple operating systems. So, I can also use it on my android phone and computers.
Installation of the McAfee suite was fairly simple. I went to the website that was delivered with the subscription code. Entered the provided license key, registered for an account, and began installing it on all my devices. On both my PC and phone, the McAfee security suite was not intrusive and did not take up a lot of resources. The only thing I didn't like was the copious number of one-time passcodes it sent me while trying to view data breach alerts associated with my email address.
With all that said there is a lot of value in this subscription and the whole household will thank you when they do not need to get a subscription of their own. I highly recommend it.

I've been testing the Twinkly Squares 5+1 combo pack for about a week and overall, I am not impressed. This 5+1 combo comes with one led controller panel, five standard led panels. six 10.5-inch connectors, one USB-C power brick, one 5ft USB-C Cable and a ton of connectors for joining the panels together.
With that said, everything about this product just seemed half baked. The USB-C cable and connector cables were too short which limited the modularity of the panels. The pins inside of all but two of the connector cables were bent to the point that I needed to use a flat head screwdriver to straighten them all out. The six panels are too small for my liking and only cover a 12' x 19" area. The App is buggy, outdated and is not user friendly. The built-in animations are very basic, and I was unable to find a Gif that the panels were able to display.
I hate to write negative reviews so I will mention a few positives. The LEDs are bright, and the Inferno and Fire animations were kind of cool. Also, if you are patient and creative, you probably can make some cool animations of your own.
However, the limited value, utility, and modularity, along with inadequate quality control and an outdated buggy App make this a disappointing product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am deciding between this the Asus m16 and Asus G15. Since I heard some early reviews saying the heat is aimed at the bottom of the screen in certain areas. Will this damage the screen over time since this is on the bottom and a high end display?
The vents in front of the screen are for intake and not exhaust. so the screen is safe.

Can I move this closer so that the image will fit in a 92" screen? If so, how much closer?
I can only answer part of your question. Yes you can move it closer to get a smaller screen. For my setup at 21 inches away from the screen got me 109 inches.
