This movie is awesome! It has beautiful sailboats with historic dramatization of real life on those boats. It's a story of duty and friendship; and having to make the tough decisions of life and death. There is no nudity or innapropriate content. The acting is superb and the plot really draws you in. This movie is violent as it is about a Navy vessell which is hunting a French ship during a war. There are battles with blood, guts, (brains) and death. I would recommend this movie to anyone interrested in history, especially naval history.
What's great about it: Sailboats, and a Clean movie
Forever Young's birth on DVD (single-layered) comes with only production notes and theatrical trailers as bonus or special features. Its picture format is a non-anamorphic, full-screen standard with the usual 1.33:1 aspect ratio. Audio features include English (Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround), Spanish (Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo), and French (Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo), with subtitles available in English, Spanish, and French. Sound quality is disappointingly similar to that of VHS or ordinary television and is barely stereophonic. The DVD case has a cardboard cover that includes a chapter index.

This movie is a good mix of music and adventure. It is set in historical America. It is a feel-good love story about love perservering above anything. My favorite part where Elijah Wood sings to the girl in the tree.
I liked this movie-especially the fact that there were no innuendos, cussing, nudity (or half-nudity) etc. It is truely "kid friendly". My 2 young kids Loved it and we all enjoyed it. The enemies were really cheesy but the other characters were more believable. (As believable as a talking dog can be...) ;) I personally wouldn't like such a hero as he constantly makes HUGE messes and tears everything up! But I do wish my dogs could be trained that easily!
What's great about it: No bad language or inuendos!
Fans of this lighthearted romantic fluff will no doubt be pleased with Paramount's DVD edition. The picture is an eye-pleasing 1.85:1 anamorphic transfer that nicely captures the Chicago settings. A film as dialogue-heavy as this one doesn't usually benefit from Dolby Digital 5.1, but certain scenes do stand out, most notably during Mel Gibson's dancing to Frank Sinatra. Director Nancy Meyers and production designer Jon Hutman provide a commentary that is more informative than one might expect. Meyers gives some good behind-the-scenes info and shares some good anecdotes as well. Additionally, there are a pair of featurettes that are mostly promotional in nature, but offer up some good footage of the film being shot, as well as a couple of good bits about the film's creation. A complaint must be lodged about the lack of deleted scenes, as the included trailers show a handful of sequences that were indeed removed from the final cut. Still, it's a minor quibble when compared to the other solid offerings to be found on this DVD.

This is a great movie for both men & women (especially if you watch it in a mixed group). It is hysterical as you watch Mel Gibson's character try women's products, and read women's minds. It makes you wonder if most men would try this hard to please women if they did have this "gift". I would recommend this to anyone, but they need to know that there are some inappropriate scenes for children.
This is a 2 CD set of 22 songs from a classic time. Songs from people like Billie Holliday, Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme, Fred Astaire and on and on... These songs are so beautiful in the style of Big Band; when you had to have talent to be famous. I think "I got rhythm" is my favorite song on the cd. If you like any Big Band you'll love this compelation. In fact, my 5 year old loves the song "They all laughed" with Tony Bennett! I love sharing this kind of music with my kids and the history of when this music was in it's hayday.
What's great about it: All of the "old" classic, beautiful songs.
Great cd with all of his best hits. "Pirate Looks at Forty" is my favorite song! This compelation is Jimmy Buffett at his best. All of his songs are of his Love of the ocean and his life. Most of his songs have a carribean feel with some pop thrown in, to create a truly unique style. This is a "greatest hits" and I would recommend this to anyone who likes even just one of his songs.
What's great about it: Classic Jimmy Buffet
What's not so great: Makes you want to quit work and live on a boat...
