FUN FOR EVERYONE

This game is loads of fun. Sure it's a cute platformer with simple controls but it has a lot of depth to it. The game comes with plenty of well designed levels with unique settings, clever puzzles, and fun events. You can play them on your own or with up to 3 others locally or online which makes this great game even better.
I've had many funny situations happen when playing with a couple of my friends such as us dying when I jump up and try to grab an object and my friend accidently grabs me pulling us down to our death. We've also gotten into a sticker fight since any time during the game you may place stickers or ornaments and you can place them on other players as well. This brings me to the next great part of this game which is the custom content.
This game comes with a fairly simple level editor. It can be hard to master but should still be fun just to mess around in. People can post the levels they made online so anyone can play which means there is always new stuff to try out. Many of the levels are on par with the official ones so their worth trying out.
Overall I'd recommend anyone to get this. So far I haven't found a single person who didn't enjoy playing this game.
What's great about it: simple yet fun and even challenging gameplay. Nice graphics. Co-op play and custome content.
What's not so great: The level editor is difficult to master.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Great singleplayer and coop game
on March 5, 2009

Gears of War 2 has a great campaign. One of the biggest problems I had about the original was that I was able to beat it in about 4 hours however this game took me close to 12. The pacing of the campaign was really good as well as they kept switching up the scenery and the gameplay. There is one specific vehicle part that I feel they should have either pulled or fixed up a bit since the controls didn't work very well and it was glitchy. However that was just one section of the massive campaign which can even be played through with a friend. I felt they tried a little to hard with the story this time as it had some moments that felt very forced and well kind of stupid.
The multiplayer is basically the same as it was in the original. It still has small levels pitting teams of up to 5 this time against each other. There are a couple of new additions like a cool new gametype in which you have to capture a person. You can also play the multiplayer against bots which is really good to practice. One major problem I have is finding games online. It uses a matchmaking system that really doesn't seem to work well. It has taken me over 15 minutes to get into some matches. I heard this doesn't effect everyone however.
Overall I recommend any FPS fan looking for a good campaign to pick this up but if your looking for multiplayer I recommend renting first.
What's great about it: The campaign is excellent and lets you play it with a friend. Graphics look great.
What's not so great: The multiplayer setup isn't very good. Story feels forced at times. Not much new stuff.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Beautiful shooter
on March 5, 2009

This is a great shooter and at this moment the best looking console game I've seen.
The single player has four difficulty settings so you should be able to find one you like. They mix up the gameplay in the single player with various objectives/ bosses and even vehicle parts all of which work fine. It's a decent length and fun to play through. The bosses all have cool unique ways to defeat them its just to bad that someone shouts out how early on in the battle so the player doesn't have to figure it out. The game is very well polished as I only encountered one minor glitch so far and the performance doesn't seem to slow down much.
The multiplayer is excellent. It's kind of a mix between call of duty 4 and team fortress 2. You can choose different classes and they all have unique abilities. However expect to get owned when you first start out as you will have to unlock almost everything and it's kind of confusing at first. The game doesn't appear to have an autoaim unlike most console shooters so aiming can take some getting used to. They do let you play the multiplayer against bots which I recommend doing first and I still use it whenever I unlock something new.
Overall I'd recommend any FPS fan to get this game.
What's great about it: Outstanding graphics. Great multiplayer. Good single player as well.
What's not so great: somewhat steep learning curve. controls feel a little slow.

Brace yourself for a new set of tricks, tracks and ways to race. The included Wii Wheel transforms your Wii Remote into a steering wheel that feels great in your hands, while the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller supply a classic control style for veterans of this racing series. Either way, you'll be able to perform impressive speed-boosting tricks, such as jumps, flips and wheelies. You can zip through brand-new tracks and arenas, and also tour classic courses from Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash and Mario Kart DS. There are even options for trying all-new motorbikes that have their own special tricks and techniques. The action gets fast, furious and funny when you race in Mario Kart Wii.

More Mario Kart
on May 6, 2008
Posted by: Sonicus
Mario Kart Wii is lots of fun to play with other people. The online works very well and lets you play with up to 11 other players. The single player mode is the same as it's been for years. You just play through the Grand Prix mode on the 3 different speed classes. The bikes mix it up a little bit but, are very similar to karts. The game can get very annoying since you can easy lose no matter how good you are. The bots can get really cruel.
What's great about it: Great online and multiplayer New courses are well designed.
What's not so great: dumbed down gameplay. based too much on luck.

AiAi and friends are back like never before. With loads of new puzzles, party games and madcap multiplayer contests, the classic stars of Super Monkey Ball return and for the first time ever, they can jump. With the flick of your wrist, the new Wii Remote sends your character flying into the air, surpassing massive amounts of land. You can also swing the remote like a baseball bat, glide it through the air like a golf club and steer a submarine below the sea. Old favorites, such as Whack-a-Mole, Ring Toss and Jump Rope, make their triumphant return for more barrels of fun.Banana Blitz puzzles and party games can be picked up by anyone; however, it takes a true master of these 3D worlds to defeat the many bosses that challenge you after completing each puzzle level. With gameplay for up to four players, you and your friends must discover each boss' weaknesses and take advantage of them before moving on to the next level. With the advantage of the new Wii Remote controller, the new adventures of AiAi and friends will be sure to entertain for hours.

good multiplayer game

The single player mode is a fun platformer game. The bosses are fun. The ability to jump does make this game more like traditional platformers which I prefered the older style but, some may like this. There are tons of minigames that you can play singleplayer or multiplayer. About half the the games are terrible while the other half is good, but considering there are about 50 minigames it's not that bad.
What's great about it: Lot's of games decent singleplayer and multiplayer
What's not so great: Half of the minigames don't work well.

The Greatest Adventure
on April 30, 2008

This is a beautiful game. The forest and fields are filled with secrets and monsters while the towns are filled with beautiful buildings and castles. There are people walking around all over and many of them have their own routines. People will interact with you in many different ways. Everything feels alive. Leveling up is lots of fun. If you simply keep doing something you'll get better at it. I like to run around and jump to random locations so my character got really fast and can jump real high. This game is very long. I've put in over 100 hours and I can still find things to do. Of course if you don't have that kind of time it's still great just to play once in a while and continue your adventure. You can also do whatever you want. You can follow the main story and save the world or you can just go around killing people or whatever else you choose to do.
What's great about it: Graphics sound gameplay and everything else.
What's not so great: none

There was a magical time in music known as the 1980s. It was an era when big hair, tight clothes, new attitudes and killer tracks set the world on fire. Now you have the chance to revisit these legendary days and become an 80's rock superstar just like the greats of the past. Your spandex is tight, your hair is sprayed right — rip off killer licks and jam with all of your might.Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s is loaded with amazing songs from the 1980s that appeal to head-bangers, new-wave rockers and anyone else who loves those wild tunes. Play as your favorite Guitar Hero characters and dress them in outrageous outfits of the past. The co-op multiplayer capabilities allow two players to jam together, with one person on lead and the other on rhythm guitar. If you need to master a particular song or phrase, turn to the Practice mode and even slow down a difficult section until you learn it perfectly. Are you really an 80's bad boy — or bad girl — at heart? Then it's time to hit the stage and take your place in the pantheon of rock legends.

OK game
on April 30, 2008

This is a good game but, It feels more like an expansion to Guitar Hero 2 instead of its own game. The game has you playing in the same locations as in Guitar Hero 2 only with an 80's twist. There aren't that many songs and they aren't even that great. The graphics are OK but, the gameplay is excellent still.
What's great about it: It's more Guitar Hero
What's not so great: It's very short.

A decent music game
on April 30, 2008
Posted by: Sonicus
I've been following Guitar Hero since the first one and this is the first one not made by Harmonix. I personally don't like how they changed things. It feels more like I am randomly pressing buttons instead of playing a guitar. They made it easier too pull off solo parts by allowing you to not have to hit the notes to the beat. So now you can be completly off beat but, as long as you hit the proper notes in order you'll get them. They also made the solos even crazier so it ended up being harder than the previous game. The graphics are probably about the same as on Guitar Hero 2 which that game didn't look the greatest. They added boss battles this time which doesn't add a whole lot but, they can be fun. This game also features a two player campaign and online play which is good.
Overall this is a decent music game, but there are better ones out there.
What's great about it: Great songs and a good challenge.
What's not so great: graphics and performance lacking.

A Great Anime
on April 29, 2008

This anime really surprised me. The story is told very well. The story is also more for adults than I expected after seeing the cover. Although the story can get complicated, they explain it well. There are a lot of philosophical components throughout the series which is something I really enjoy. This series will get you thinking. The animation is really nice. They used CG mixed with the traditional animation which makes it look really good.
What's great about it: Story Animation and everything else.

A great adventure
on April 27, 2008
Posted by: Sonicus
The story in this game is excellent. Not only is it a well written story, the cut scenes are very well done. The game is gorgeous to look at. Especially if you are using an HD screen. The game play has some excellent platforming parts mixed with some OK shooter sections. The shooting part I believe could have used some more work but, It's still fun. The game even has its own achievements type of system which lets you unlock some bonus content. This adds a lot of replay too the game which is very good. The game is kind of on the short side. If you were a fan of Naughty Dog's previous games don't worry about the more adult theme. This game still has some similarities to their previous games and a lot of their same humor. This is one of my favorite next-gen adventure games and one of the best games for the PS3.
What's great about it: great story and platforming elements. Beautiful graphics
What's not so great: short, combat could be better. Forces widescreen.

halo wars

is halo wars worth getting or should i stick to command and conquor
Halo Wars has a good campaign with a cool story but it is quite different from command and conquer. The multiplayer isn't the greatest though. At least it's hard to use rush tactics since your base is very hard to destroy and easy to get defences up. Personally I'd stick with C&C but if your a halo fan it might be worth it for the story. If you haven't already check out the demo which you can download off Xbox live.

what is the difference between the xbox 360 arcade and the regular xbox360

The arcade version doesn't include a hard drive instead it has a 256mb internal memory chip which stores a lot less data than any of the hard drives. However a hard drive may be purchased for it and it's installed simply by snapping it into the top. A hard drive is required to play original Xbox games and is recommended if you plan to play online. I believe the arcade version comes with a few xbox arcade games as well which are simple little games you can purchase online.
