Ryan Adams, pre-self destruction

Gorgeous melodies and the fantastic storytelling you expect from Ryan Adams. If you have an affinity for the Jayhawks or other alt-country tinged rock, you will come to love this album. Someday when you are feeling emotionally stable enough to handle it, spend a few solid hours with this record. I'm a cheerful, upbeat person, but if I ever need a dose of blue to counterbalance my mood, this album is a truly beautiful foil.
What's great about it: Beautiful, haunting tunes from a wicked crazy talent
What's not so great: Not exactly party music
I would recommend this to a friend!
