Power up your playing with this easily portable Hartke bass amp. Exceptionally simple multiple controls let you dial in your sound for amazing tone. With a two-rackspace metal-frame chassis, this Hartke bass amplifier is rugged and saves space, making it a smart choice for a musician on the move.
I originally wanted a Orange Bass Terror for a new bass amp, but it was hugely out of my price range. I did research on the LH500, and realized it's pretty much spec for spec a Bass Terror. The amp is rack mountable, or it has feet, so you can rest it on top of a cabinet with no worries. It's a all metal construction and feels strong and durable. If I were to have any gripes about it, it's that the pre-amp tubes take FOREVER to warm up. Sometimes, I think the amp is broken, then BOOM, it kicks on. Also, if you try to put the volume below two, you loose ALL tone, and it sounds really compressed and flat. Roll this baby to 5 or 6, and it rumbles your house! For $350, this is a great amp for a gigging musician, as well as anyone starting off, but wanting something big!
My Best Buy number: 541257390
What's great about it: Good tone, price, and construction
What's not so great: pre-amp tubes take longer than normal to warm up, touch volume knob
This is a great CD from a band located in my hometown. I first heard them on a local radio station and after that I had to buy it! The CD itself is all over the place as far as it's genre of sound goes, but I think that's what makes the band so charming. Do yourself a favor and buy this CD and help support a band you have never heard of.
What's great about it: great, catchy songs. want to listen to over and over.
