They didn't have the one I wanted, so got this one instead. I LOVE IT!!! Was easy to setup. No more finding a code, pointing remotes at each other. It's all done via sync to your computer. Type in your model number and it's set up for you. I now have ONE remote versus 6. Oh yeah!!!!!

This Samsung PN51F8500AFXZA 51" plasma 3D HDTV features vibrant 1080p resolution. To build a complete 3D home theater system, we recommend you purchase a 3D Blu-ray player, high-speed HDMI cable and an A/V receiver that is compatible with 3D products.

This TV was out of my budget, but I have to tell you...WOW!!!!! I AM SO THANKFUL I BOUGHT IT!!!! Samsung sadly is stopping production of their PLASMA TV's, and this is truly a shame, because in my opinion, PLASMA has it ALL OVER LED and 4K Ultras. The picture on this television is STUNNING. The blacks are deep and rich, the red's are mind blowing and the 3D, well, let's just say I was late for work. The SMART Features are awesome as well. The TV adjusts to how you use it, and it seems to taylor it's use to you. I TRULY love this TV, and at this price, you CANNOT GO WRONG with this TV. The line also includes 60" and 64". This is truly my new best friend! GET ONE BEFORE THEY ARE GONE FOREVER!!!!!!!

At this price.....WOW!!!!! I don't know why they are stopping production on plasma televisions, because they are THE BEST!!! This picture is truly beyond amazing. Deep darks, vibrant natural colors!!!! Buy two!!!!

Do you need an a/v receiver to use this tV in 3d
You do not. Can work very well on it's own with an HD Cable Box, HD Antena and a Bluray or DVD player.
