Great Little Laptop for High School

We bought this laptop for my high school age daughter since they use Chromebooks at school. She loves the way it looks, and it performs quite nicely. Internet browsing it seems more responsive than our much more expensive Windows laptop. The included 802.11ac wireless as the fastest connection speed in our house with the new NextLight fiberoptic connection. The bluetooth works well, but getting the BT mouse to link up took a couple of tries. I really have nothing negative to say accept that a touch screen would be nice -- but of course, you can get that on a Chromebook if you want to pay more.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great TV

This is my first HDTV, and we use it as our primary TV. It has great picture, great price, and decent sound (not great, but do any of them?).. The 2 shortcomings are sound quality and fairly sparse inputs (2 HDMI and 1 component). I fixed both these issues by buying an A/V receiver -- so save your money on the TV and add an A/V receiver for lots of inputs and great quality sound from your TV. Oh yeah, and think about a Logitech universal remote (When you buy an HDTV it seems that it starts a chain reaction)
I would recommend this to a friend!

can one use a mouse with this Asus Chromebook?
You can plug a mouse into the USB port, but I would recommend a Bluetooth mouse so that you don't tie up the port -- even a regular wireless mouse requires a USB connection, so I highly recommend using the Bluetooth. We got an inexpensive BT mouse online for under $20 that worked fine.
