Over all an entertaining movie for the whole family. Alot of twists and alot of feeling.
Just good.
What's great about it: Interesting
What's not so great: Basic idea already demonstrated in 1 and made it a little boring

A great love story

This movie is a great love story that rips your heart out... I love the setting and how it's realistic and unrealistic at the same time.
The funny parts weren't funny, but you feel so desperate to take a break from crying, you laugh anyways.
What's great about it: Good movie...
What's not so great: The funny parts aren't really funny.

Brace yourself for a new set of tricks, tracks and ways to race. The included Wii Wheel transforms your Wii Remote into a steering wheel that feels great in your hands, while the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller supply a classic control style for veterans of this racing series. Either way, you'll be able to perform impressive speed-boosting tricks, such as jumps, flips and wheelies. You can zip through brand-new tracks and arenas, and also tour classic courses from Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash and Mario Kart DS. There are even options for trying all-new motorbikes that have their own special tricks and techniques. The action gets fast, furious and funny when you race in Mario Kart Wii.

This game is a game I cannot go all day without playing at least once.
I'm a huge Mario fan and I love my Wii. I couldn't have asked for a better combo. It's a good game to play with the family.
I'm getting this game for my dad for his Birthday because he is always playing the Wii with his buddies instead of poker now.
I can only imagine the uproar this game will create in his living room.
What's great about it: Absolutely fun in it simplicity, can be as difficult or as easy as you desire
What's not so great: Sometimes you can't control your fate in the game even if you're good.

This movie is worth watching at least once. It has really funny parts!
It does seem kind of dead at times. It would be easy to walk away from and come back to without feeling like you missed something.
I love when he signs "Walk Hard" in a punk version.
They should make a greatest hits with just the funny parts.
What's great about it: Funny parts, good cast for a SNL fans
What's not so great: Drags and isn't consistantly entertaining or funny

Mask, Peter Bogdanovich's tale of a disfigured boy and his unconventional mother, gets a new soundtrack with this DVD release. Featuring songs by Bruce Springsteen that were not in the original theatrical presentation, the film is presented in widescreen anamorphic that creates an image with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, and Dolby Digital Mono. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a feature-length commentary recorded by the director as well as an interview with him. Even though his directorial skills have eroded over the years, Bogdanovich remains an excellent storyteller and his comments are engaging.

This is really a good movie and a touching story...
me and my special one caught it late one night and it being late we were in a groofy mood and had a surprisingly good time watching it.
Terrible as that seems, the reason I began watching it was because I really do like it.
But, it's old and a bit cheesy as older movies seems...so it's easy to poke fun at or with if you think positively.
What's great about it: Good movie...really...it's just old and kinda easy to make fun of.
What's not so great: Could have been more dramatic

This DVD of Con Air is presented in widescreen with a 2.35:1 aspect ratio, and the sound is done in Dolby Digital 5.1. Also included is a French-language track and Spanish subtitles. The special effects are the big winners in this DVD version. Viewers can almost see the rivets of the plane in some of the sequences, and the color rendition is excellent. Little effort went into the extra features in this DVD. Besides the language options, Touchstone included the original theatrical trailer and a "teaser" trailer. Information on the special effects and the impressive stunt work would have been welcome.

This movie is so full of action with a really great cast.
It's nonstop and when you think it's coming to a head, it gets even crazier.
Great movie to have if you're trying to impress a guy and widescreen is always best.
What's great about it: Over the top action
What's not so great: Airs

John Waters fans, prepare to shed a tear of joy as Focus Features brings the 1990 musical kitch-fest Cry-Baby to DVD as you've never seen it before. Presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, the image looks near-pristine, with the accompanying Dolby Digital Stereo sound mix really bringing the music to life as our teen hero attempts show the town squares that even a lowly "drape" can have a heart of gold. Of course, what would a Waters DVD be without commentary, and true to form, the gleefully distasteful director does not disappoint, providing audio commentary that is nearly entertaining as the film itself. If that's not enough for Waters fans, viewers can take a closer look behind the scenes in the extended featurette entitled "It Came From Baltimore" before checking out some truly outrageous deleted scenes that didn't make the final cut.

One of the best movies ever. I've always been an admirer of John Waters and even more of Johnny Depp.
Great acting and great plot. Feel good movie.
And people are now surprised to hear Johnny Depp sing in Sweeney Todd?
He's always been a well rounded talent.
"I love being bad 'cause so good."
What's great about it: Johnny Depp and Ziggy Pop
What's not so great: Nuttin.

Anthony Minghella's award-winning adaptation of Charles Frazier's Cold Mountain debuts on DVD with this excellent two-disc Collector's Edition from Miramax. The film itself is presented in a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. John Seale's first-rate cinematography comes through in every scene. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1, and a French soundtrack has been recorded as well. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Minghella and editor Walter Murch. Although their comments are a tad dry, they are full of information about why they made the various artistic decisions that they did, and, as is to be expected, they are full of praise for every member of their admittedly excellent cast. Also included is a surprisingly entertaining 90-minute stage show that was performed at Royce Hall. The show consists of musicians Jack White and Alison Krauss performing songs from the film, readings from Frazier's novel by Brendan Gleeson and Kathy Baker, and readings from the script by Jude Law and Nicole Kidman. Minghella himself is interviewed also during the show. A pair of making-of featurettes and a comparison of the final film to the storyboards reveals how much forethought went into the making of the film. This is another quality release from Miramax.

The high seas are set for high laughs in the wacky Chris Elliot comedy Cabin Boy. The film is presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen and features a very attractive picture. The film displays a vast array of colors and black levels, each finely detailed and sharp. Besides the slightest amount of dirt and edge enhancement in the image, this transfer appears to be in excellent condition. The soundtrack is presented in Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround in English and sounds better than expected. While directional effects are lacking, the fidelity of the track is very clear with both the front and center speakers utilized thoroughly. All aspects of the mix are free of any excessive hiss or distortion. No alternate soundtracks are included on this edition of Cabin Boy. Sadly, this DVD is swimming in a barrel of chum -- not a single extra feature is available on this disc.

By far the funniest movie EVER! Unsettling/irrational humor.
Any movie where David Letterman dresses up as a commoner in the 1600's and tries to sell Chris Elliott a sock monkey all the while calling him Suzie...has my vote.

The double-disc special edition of The Wizard of Oz is one of the two latest editions of the 1939 Victor Fleming film, released in October of 2005 -- it was preceded by the MGM/UA DVD at the end of the 1990s and the first Warner Bros. DVD edition a couple of years later; the latter, in particular, was very good in its time, in terms of the transfer and the bonus materials, but this re-release does, indeed, outclass it. For starters, the transfer is, if anything, even more crisp and reveals more detail in the image -- elements of the picture that are blurred or barely seen in the older Warner transfer, such as the details in the bricks on the Yellow Brick Road, can be seen in the new edition. The chaptering is close to what was used in the older Warner disc, but fine-tuned in location in some of the locations and breaks, and the sound is improved somewhat as well. The commentary by John Fricke and surviving cast and crew -- at least the third full-length commentary ever done on Oz, counting the one done by Ron Haver for The Criterion Collection laserdisc (which, itself, set a new standard for transfers of the movie) -- has been updated anew. There are featurettes on the cast and crew, the restoration of the movie, and a free-standing music-and-effects track on the first disc in the package, in tandem with the full-length movie. Disc two is loaded up with the Angela Lansbury-hosted making-of feature, which holds up extremely well, as well as the Memories of Oz television special -- but it's mostly filled with the new features "The Art of Imagination: A Tribute to Oz" and "Because of the Wonderful Things It Does: The Legacy of Oz," plus composer Harold Arlen's home movies, outtakes and test footage of the tornado sequences, and galleries of stills and trailers, and six hours of audio bonus features, including raw session recordings of the music and radio adaptations and promotional materials. The whole production is rather overwhelming unless its taken in stages, but it's all informative and entertaining, and it's well-nigh essential viewing for all but the most casual fans of the movie. As far as the movie is concerned -- but only in terms of the movie -- it's the ultimate resource for the fan and viewer. This isn't the last word on The Wizard of Oz or the world of Oz in cinematic terms, however -- for that, one can turn to the Three-Disc Collector's Edition, released simultaneously with this double-disc set in October of 2005.

This movie will always be BIG no matter what.
It's kinda dark for a kids movie compared to all the Pixar and Dream Works movies today. It's surprising if someone/something dies anymore.
What's great about it: The Tin Man
What's not so great: Wicked Witches
