Lucy is a drama queen

Good film noire feature with Lucille Ball in a dramatic role showing her versatility as an actress. The plot has a few twists and even a couple of special effects. But the cinematography is excellent.

A must for Lucy lovers!

How great to have Here's Lucy Season One (and others to follow) available for purchase!! I can relive my younger Monday nights when the series originally ran on CBS. Some episodes I had never seen, others I had forgotten. My favorite part of this DVD are the introductions, mostly by Desi Jr and Lucie, but others by celebrities who appeared in the particular episode. What great fun to hear their memories of Lucy and the show. The other extras are great, too (which are becoming my favorite part of any DVD) giving rare footage, etc of Lucy and the show's creation. I look forward to other seasons!

From the opening menu, featuring star Ann-Margret's famous phone-pose set against a bubbly 1960s backdrop, this DVD presentation of Bye Bye Birdie is a colorful treat. The film comes in both widescreen and full-screen versions (each on a different side of the disc) and can be played with either English 2.0 Dolby Surround, English 5.0 Dolby Digital, or its original English three-channel theatrical presentation. Subtitles are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, and Thai. Special features include the theatrical trailer and detailed talent files for director George Sidney and stars Janet Leigh, Dick Van Dyke, Ann-Margret, Maureen Stapleton, and Paul Lynde. Also included is a booklet detailing a history of the musical's Broadway run, as well as production notes on the film.

What great fun seeing a young Ann-Margaret, who hinted greater things to come, in this role. And Dick V.D. adds several stars to any production he's in. But to see Paul Lynde, and hear that laugh, voice and see his facial expressions was worth the price of the DVD!!! And the song "Kids" is a classic! Elvis resemblances aside, "BBB" is a fun romp through the 60s!!
