Peter Segal directs Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore in the fine romantic comedy 50 First Dates. The film is presented in a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.40:1. The image on the disc is faithful to Jack Green's fine cinematography, which lovingly captures Hawaii at its most beautiful. English and French soundtracks are written in Dolby Digital 5.1. English and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track written by Segal and Barrymore. This is an entertaining track mostly because the two of them are very loquacious and obviously enjoy each other's company. Those who are charmed by Barrymore's public persona will not be disappointed. Deleted scenes with optional commentary, a blooper reel, and a smattering of featurettes round out this solid release of an unexpectedly charming film.

This is one of the "easy watching" movies, story has really no ups and downs.
It' s "average" funny, and not adam's or drew's best work either.

Five ethically challenged underachievers face one misadventure after the next while running Paddy's Pub, a rundown Irish bar in South Philedelphia in the first two seasons of the award-winning sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philedelphia.

The funniest man on television returns as season two of the wildly popular Chappelle's Show arrives on DVD courtesy of Comedy Central Home Video. All 13 episodes are presented in 1.33:1 full-frame as originally aired and offer audio rendered in English Dolby Digital Stereo. As with the release of Chappelle's Show: Season One, fans of the hit series are certain to find plenty to laugh about in the abundant extra features present on this release. Take a look at the creative process as star Chappelle and series co-creator Neal Brennan provide audio commentary before diving into over an hour of bloopers and deleted scenes, and if you haven't split your sides wide open from laughter at that point, check out a pair of unaired stories from series regular Charlie Murphy before hearing the complete story of the conflict that spawned one of comedy's most notorious catchphrases with the extended Rick James interview. Of course, everyone knows that Chappelle is at his best when up on-stage with a live audience, and with an extra standup act rounding out the bonus materials, this disc is sure to keep fans laughing until the eagerly awaited third season of Chappelle's Show.

You got to have a very open mind and NOT easily be offended to watch this show. It is so dang funny, too bad there are no new shows out.

Emile Ardolino's smash hit Dirty Dancing gets the two-disc deluxe treatment on this special edition DVD. The film itself is presented in a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo and DTS Stereo. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. The extensive supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by choreographer Kenny Ortega, cinematographer Jeff Jur, and other members of the crew. Interviews with cast and crew members (including Jennifer Grey, who also records a video introduction to the film), snippets of the successful Dirty Dancing Live concert tour, three music videos, and a trailer track all add additional value to this DVD for any fan.

Mel Gibson's Academy award-winning epic Braveheart comes to DVD in a fairly basic presentation that includes a widescreen, anamorphic transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 and Surround Audio, and a commentary by Gibson. A "making of" featurette and two theatrical trailers complete this adequate disc. With any luck, a deluxe version of the DVD will be released in the not too distant future; Braveheart deserves better.

Braveheart is one of my favorite movies, and I don't normally like "fighting" movies. Mel Gibson is doing a great job as actor and director.

Julian McMahon and Dylan Walsh star as a team of plastic surgeons with decidedly different work ethics on the FX series Nip/Tuck. Slick and sexy, the show explores not only the lives of the docs, but those of the revolving door of patients they encounter. Presented in widescreen on five discs, the 13-episode first season of Nip/Tuck comes to DVD with this nicely assembled box set. The original English soundtrack has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo, and there are optional subtitles in English, Spanish, and French. Along with the episodes, the discs contain an array of bonuses. Over the course of three featurettes, viewers are given an in-depth look at everything from the makeup effects employed for the show to the realities of the cosmetic surgery business. Additionally, there are bloopers, a selection of deleted scenes, and a music video for the song "A Perfect Lie," the show's theme song by the Engine Room. A full-screen version of this set is available with the same features.
