This follow-up to Days of Future Past is essentially perfect in terms of presentation (both audio and video are reference,) while the movie itself is a bit of a letdown following its stellar predecessor. Definitely worth a purchase. Highly recommended.

Alanis Morissette in concert in HD - what's not to love? She still sounds great and clearly still enjoys performing. This is a must own for even casual fans.
Highly recommended.

What's great about it: Another stellar release from Eagle Rock, PQ & AQ Top Notch, Most of her hits are performed.
What's not so great: Playlist skews heavily towards Jagged Little Pill, which may upset those looking for lesser known songs

Although lacking the (some would say superior) theatrical cut of the film, this release is still pretty great. You get some great extras, that really take you back to the early 70s, along with the film presented in a first-rate presentation.
Highly recommended for fans of Almost Famous.

What's great about it: Great film, AQ and PQ are top notch
Must have for all fans of Sin City! You get both the theatrical version and the extended cuts of the separate stories, plus another fantastic "10-Minute Cooking School" (Sin City Breakfast Tacos.)
PQ and AQ are top notch and the film itself is a fun ride from beginning to end.
Highly recommended.

What's great about it: Great movie, stunning PQ, powerful audio, tons of extras, killer recipe for breakfast tacos.
What's not so great: Many of the extras are only in standard definition.
The eighth season of Showtime's jet-black comedy series Weeds finds the Botwins dealing with fallout from a hit attempted on them at the end of the previous season.
Weeds has long been one of my favorite of the pay cable series. Unlike other classics like Deadwood and Rome, this one was allowed to end on its own terms and the result is a satisfying ending that ties up many of the loose ends from the series.
Without giving too much away, fans who have been watching since the beginning will have some nice surprises throughout the season.
Highly recommended!

What's great about it: Show is as good as ever, PQ and AQ up to the usual standards of the other seasons.
What's not so great: Episodes are short and there aren't many of them, but what can you do?
Stand By Me is a classic coming of age story based on the Stephen King novella "The Body" from the book Different Seasons (which also includes "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption," the novella that the film The Shawshank Redemption is based on.)
Fans of the film will enjoy seeing it in HD, and should get a kick out of the limited (in quantity, not quality) extras, including a new "Picture-in-Picture Commentary Retrospective" featuring Rob Reiner, Corey Feldman, and Wil Wheaton.
Recommended for any fan of this film.

What's great about it: The movie itself is great, and it's nice to see and hear the film like never before.
What's not so great: It would have been nice to hear from more than just Wil Wheaton and Corey Feldman on the new video commentary.
Bond in Japan! A film with so many iconic moments.

From the "Little Nellie" to the Dr. Evil-inspiring Blofeld (complete with volcano lair) to Bond "becoming" Japanese, this film has a little bit of everything. It's campy and decidedly un-PC, especially by contemporary standards, but it's a worthy sequel in the Bond series (certainly better than most of the Roger Moore films.)
The BD offers a decent amount of extras, and lossless audio.
Highly recommended for any fan of the film.

What's great about it: The film's never looked or sounded better on any home video release
What's not so great: Plot's a little ridiculous, acting a little hammy in parts.
This is a must-buy for an Darko fans out there. It contains both versions of the film in HD, with stunning lossless audio to boot. You also get a ton of extras, including multiple commentaries.
The PQ could be better, as it appears that a dated master was used for this release. Still, it destroys the previous DVD releases in every way.
Highly recommended.

What's great about it: Darko! In HD! You get both versions, plus a ton of extras
What's not so great: Picture quality could be better if they'd used a more recent scan of the film's negative
