Awesome band...

I got to see this band in concert and was blown away. The guys are great and their music is fantastic. They bring a style all their own to the music industry. It's nice to have something new and fresh. If you aren't sure what I mean, just listen to a few of the sample tracks. This is a must have CD from a must hear band. Keep it up guys!!!
What's great about it: New original style...
What's not so great: None what so ever!

The Rock hits DVD once again in Columbia Pictures' release of the underappreciated, amped-up actioner The Rundown. Presented in an anamorphic 2.35:1 widescreen image (it's also available in a separate full-screen version), the picture quality is pristine, as is the sound, which comes in both a 5.1 and a 2.0 Dolby Digital track. Apart from the stellar packaging and presentation (check out that shiny cover), The Rundown has been given one wild treatment as far as bonus materials go. Things start off with director Peter Berg and The Rock's audio commentary track, which is truly a blast from beginning to end. The duo prove their uncanny chemistry as the banter moves from Tom Arnold in a wrestling match to Berg egging on his lead star to grow his hair out for his next role -- a bold and hilarious idea if there ever was one! For this track alone, the DVD is worth it! Of course, there's more fun to be had, with another commentary from the producers as well as a heap-load of featurettes for the viewer to dive into. For a good look at the over-the-top action of the film, check out "Rumble in the Jungle" -- a ten-minute glimpse at the stunts that features great behind-the-scenes footage of fight choreographer Andy Cheng and his crew. Additionally, "The Amazon, Hawaii-Style" shows how the production transformed the Hawaiian Islands into a jungle landscape, while "Appetite for Destruction" dives into the pyrotechnics and visual effects that litter the film's more explosive moments. "The Rundown Uncensored" is a goofy bit that highlights the controversial love affair between one of the monkeys and the headlining star, while "Running Down the Town" is yet another featurette on the location shoot and how the crew transformed a national park into a red-earthed Brazilian town. The "Walken's World" documentary is exactly what it is -- a candid look at what it's like working with the legendary Christopher Walken and such juicy bits as which actor was scared to death of the acting legend (hint: his initials are S.W.S.!). Add on to all of that 14 minutes of deleted scenes (including a few extra major action sequences), and you basically have the disc right there. If you managed to catch the flick on the big screen, you should know how much of a good time it is, so it's a pleasure to say that the same humor has been translated to all of the extras here. Sadly, no theatrical trailer was included, though that seems to be the norm for big Hollywood DVDs these days.

Great movie!

I like The Rock, Sean William Scott is always good for a laugh, and who plays a better villain than Chritopher Walken? The movie was great as far as action and there were some hillarious moments. Sean William Scott plays the small scrawny nerd who is tracked down by The Rock, who is the complete opposite. Christopher Walken is his usual strange, creepy bad guy.
What's great about it: Funny, action packed, interesting story line
What's not so great: The "experts" didn't like it...

Great Movie for Kids
on April 28, 2008

I've seen pretty much every movie The Rock has been and this movie was recommended to me. It was a surprisingly good movie. It is a little hokey at times but it is a Disney movie and geared towards kids. I enjoyed the movie and it has a decent plot line. If you have kids or are just looking for a few laid back laughs pick it up.
What's great about it: Funny movie even for most adults
What's not so great: A little hokey

Fantastic Performances

This DVD is terrific. If you love SRV this is the one to have. It has exerpts from two of SRV's performances at Austin City Limits. The first performance is a young SRV who you can still see a little nervousness in but none-the-less rips the guitar apart. The second performance was done after Stevie decided to go sober. It has been said by many that his post sobreity performances were some of the best. If you watch the last performances on this DVD you could not argue with that statement. It has many of Stevie's best known songs. Buy this DVD.
What's great about it: Stevie Ray Vaughan at his best

Better Every Season
on February 13, 2008

I swear this show gets better every season. As always the practical jokes on Dwight, Michaels stupidity, and office romances will keep you laughing throughout every DVD in this set. Season 3 introduces new characters and new laughs. If you thought season 2 was hillarious, season 3 is a must. Buy this DVD set if you love The Office.
What's great about it: Hillarious as usual

Best end to a trilogy ever
on February 13, 2008

I'm going to be honest here. I went to see this third installment of the Bourne trilogy in theaters. I was VERY apprehensive about going. We all know from excruciating experiences that third installments are never as good as the first or the second (with a few exceptions). So I asked myself, do I really want to go watch a third movie that's going to be a bust after two good installments? I put my big boy britches on, bucked up, and decided to take it for a spin. The movie does NOT dissapoint. It has NONSTOP action, but not mindless action. The third movie picks up right where the second left off. Bourne continues searching for identity and answers, and runs into a few characters from the first 2 movies. The movie sticks to the story and ends like any third installment should. It will not leave you wondering if there's a fourth movie. WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!
What's great about it: Drama, supsense, action

Fantastic Western for this Era
on February 13, 2008

This movie stars two fantastic actors that couldn't fumble a role if they wanted to. This movie is guaranteed to mess with your emotions. It has great character development involving Russel Crowe, Christian Bale and the boy who plays Bale's oldest son. I promise that this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat and constantly wondering if the main characters are going to be killed. It is also one of those movies that tries to make you side with the villain while hating him at the same time. If you like westerns, Crowe, or Bale watch this movie.
What's great about it: Non-stop action, supsense, and drama

Intense

This movie was fantastic. It was constantly suspenseful. It will run you through a whole range of emotion from sadness, anger, excitement, joy, etc. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire ride. This movie, like most movies about the middle east, definately has an agenda. The agenda does not become completely clear until the end but don't let it stop you from watching it.
What's great about it: Intensive, gripping, edge of your seat...
What's not so great: Agenda
