A decent headset

This headset is good for what it is. If you are going to play games online, then you have to have a headset. No one likes playing with the person who doesn't have a mic and cannot effectively help their team. Sorry it is the truth. This particular headset does the job well and will not set you back to much to get it either. The only problems with this headset lie in its design. The mic has to be in just the right position or it does not pick up your voice. You will feel pretty silly when you realize this and you have been talking to yourself for the last several minutes because no one else can hear you. Furthermore, I take issue with the pad on the mic. It can come off and get lost really easily (I have had it happen once already). I this happens it will still work but your voice quality will not be as good and people might have a hard time understanding you. The only other drawback is the cord that goes from the headset to the controller. It has gotten in the way on more than a few occasions. I will say this though, the thing can take a beating. So why do I recommend it? It's simple really, if you are going to play online, you need a mic and this is the best one you will get for the price.
What's great about it: A must for online gaming
What's not so great: Flimsy

Incredible Movie

Yes, the fact that it deals with a touchy subject I am sure will facilitate some hot debate. Some people will love this movie, some people will hate this movie. The bottom line is as long as you are open to the subject matter, it forces you to think about what is going on in the world. This is exactly what the movie wants you to do. Outside of the subject matter, it is a thrilling movie that will have you glued to the screen. This movie was very well done. The acting is incredible and the characters stories are not just black and white. I would recommend watching this movie.

One of the best games for the Xbox 360.

With over 200 hours of game play, this game will keep you busy for a while. The story is great. The side quests are great. The role playing element is great. The extra content available on Xbox live is well worth the money and adds a lot to the game and will keep you playing even longer. Even after all of the other games that have come out for the 360 this is still one of the best and I still play this game even after I have bought newer games. This is not a game you will want to get rid of. If you like the real-time RPGs then this is an excellent game and I highly recommend it.
What's great about it: Over 200 hours of game play.
What's not so great: A few glitches, but nothing that cannot be forgiven.

A GREAT game

I just picked up the game and so far it is more or less living up to all of the hype it has been receiving. It has good graphics. Well they probably are not the best graphics I have seen, they are good. All of the little details that are included in the game are what make the visuals outstanding. An example is instead of just popping open the door of a parked car, Niko might bust in the window and have to hotwire the car. Ah, it's the little things in life that we cherish. Anyways, there have been many tweaks to the game since the last installment. The new cover and targeting mechanics work great and make the game a lot easier. There are no more ammunition shops; instead to make the game seem more realistic you buy guns out of car trunks. The cell phone is a nice addition and really adds a lot to the game. You can use it to call up NPCs you have met and access multiplayer. These are just a few of the great new additions to the game. (There are too many to name here.) The thing that I like about the multiplayer is the fact that you have free roam of the entire Liberty City. You can go anywhere; do anything, just like in the real game, except now you can have up to 15 other people in there with you. The chaos is endless. Bottom line is this is a GTA game and the best one yet.
What's great about it: Good graphics, new mechanics, multiplayer, GTA
What's not so great: None...as of this review...

A great Real-Time RPG
on April 26, 2008

This is a great game. The main story is fantastic and the numerous subplots and storylines only enhance the main story line. This is a real-time role playing game that feels like a third person shooter. However, if you try to go through the game as if it were a third person shooter you will be met with frustration because you will die, frequently, especially on the harder levels. The amount of customization that is allowed with you character is decent. You can customize your characters face to a certain degree and pick from a variety of character histories that will affect how NPCs react to you in the game. There are four different weapons' classes in the game: Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, and Pistol. Each class has a variety of weapons to choose from, but like most standard RPGs they only vary in strength and not it how they play. However, there are various weapon and ammo upgrades that can increase accuracy, range, damage, etc. The best part about the combat however is the use of techs and biotic. These give you all kinds of powers such as the ability to lift your enemy in the air, throw them across the room, cause there weapons to blow up in their hands and many, many more. This is where the RPG element comes into play. When accessing the menu the game pauses and allows you to assess your current situation and allows you to map out the course of action you want to take. This all plays very well without really breaking up the game. The major downside to the whole game is the Mako. This is the vehicle you drive around in while exploring all of the worlds in the game. Driving can become frustrating because the controls are not as responsive as one would like. The use of the weapons on the Mako is even more frustrating. While it appears that the turret can move up and down, the ammo only lands on the same level your vehicle is on. This means that any enemy that is above or below you is untouchable. This will become really frustrating when you think you have a clear shot at an enemy, only to see the explosion of your cannon shell land no where near your enemy. This would not be that big of a detractor, but the use of the Mako is heavily emphasized in some parts of the game. However, the rest of the game is so good it is easy to overlook this part. If you are a fan of western RPGs, then this is a must have game.
What's great about it: Great Story and fun game play
What's not so great: The MAKO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Solid FPS

I had been waiting for this game ever since I finished the first Rainbow Six: Vegas. When it finally came out I grabbed a copy and enthusiastically dove right in. The story was not what I was expecting but fit the game well. Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 has you taking it to the bad guys less in the glitz and glamour of the casinos and more in the warehouses, construction sites, and public facilities. One thing that has received some knocks but I think is a great addition is the improved Persistent Elite Creation (PEC). Instead of only being able to rank up on line, the game also rewards you for playing the single player campaign and the terrorist hunt. I like this for two reasons: first, it allows players to get some better equipment before playing in online multiplayer and second, it allows players who do not play games online to get something out of all the time the put in on single player. The second part is particularly important because the game starts you off with very limited options as far as equipment and the only way to unlock better equipment is through advancement in PEC. The graphics are solid. There isn't anything groundbreaking here, but the game looks great nonetheless. The multiplayer is decent. It is not the best multiplayer, but it holds its own and is fun to play. Modes such as Team Leader and Conquest are fun. The maps however are simply not as good as some of the maps that were featured in Rainbow Six: Vegas. That has not stopped me from playing it though. This is not the best game out there right now, but it does stick with a proven formula that was established with Rainbow Six: Vegas and is a great tactical first person shooter. If you liked the first one, as I did, you will like this one.
What's great about it: Solid Graphics, Decent Multiplayer, and an improved PEC system.
What's not so great: Multiplayer is not as deep as desired.

Simply put, this game is AMAZING!

This game is the best game of the last year that was not a first person shooter. It offers a fresh form of game play that is fun and sucks you in from the moment you start playing. The visuals are some of the best to date. This game rewards you for thinking about your next move and not simply rushing into a situation. It does a great job at making you feel like a true assassin where stealth and shadows are your only friends. The achievements for finding all of the hidden flags are fun and challenging. Every boss has to be approached in a different way keeping the game interesting. However, running around to every view point and collecting all the information on the "target" can become a bit tedious at times, but are worth the cut scenes that show you the landscape and the jump at the end. (You'll find out what I mean) Also some of the mini-games where you have to collect flags that your incompetent informants dropped before you can get the information that they have are really repetitive and only serve to break up the fantastic game play that the rest of the game offers. The swordplay controls are very easy to use and the moves that Altair pulls off will leave you wanting to run around and get into fights just to see them over and over again. There are only two major downsides to this game: First, there is no multiplayer and second, there is no downloadable content that adds anything to the game. This adds up to the fact that when you are done with the game, you are DONE with the game. Nonetheless, this game is well worth the money even without the replay value.
What's great about it: Great graphics, unique and exciting game play, and a great story.
What's not so great: NO replay value.
