The first time I heard KOL was way back in 03, though I thought they wern't bad, I never really listened to them, or thought they would ever last. I thought they were just part of that whole classic rock revival thing that was going on. But then a few months back I caught the video for Charmer, and was hooked. Calebs pericing scream throughout the song resemebles somewhat of a pixies screech, and gives the songs the Whammy induced guitar riffs somthing to fall back onto. This shows CD how much a band can grow from album to album. Caleb still keeps his soul driven vocals flurishing through out it which gives it the "Rock N Soul" feeling to it. The songs vary from hard rock, to slower ballads, so even Ska influcenced riffs (Ragoo). I see nothing but a bright and inspiring future for KOL, and can't wait to see what they come out with next.
What's great about it: Unique vocals, great riffs, catchy meaningful songs, listenable the whole way though
What's not so great: Very different from past KOL alums. Some past fans may not enjoy as much.
