Love my Apple TV

Some of the bad reviews, depend a lot about the following:
1. Connection/ ethernet vs wireless
2. other devices interfering
3. location of apple TV
4. the technology on this device has not been tapped yet, more to come.
So I would have to say with my purchase, I love my apple TV, on my Tv the display is crisp and clear, you can stream Netflix, really no lag, now I was watching a movie and it did pause a couple of times, no big deal, it only lasted like 15 sec. and it doesn't happen all the time if not at all. no complaint here. Next you can view you tube video which is cool, I like that you can listen to music, it has a lot of radio channels on it, like a pandora feel. you can view your photos and content only if you link up to your PC thru itunes, their will be a different alternative I believe, the potential of this device has not been used to its full potential yet....be patient Apple geeks, there is something that will add better airplay for 3rd party apps, I believe that you will be able to use your ipad thru apple tv and play Angry birds/ access all your content thru that device, it will turn it in like a big remote, a hub of content.

WOW, WOW, WOW what a find

I was searching for something more compact as far as speakers go, almost a mini surround sound, well I wasn't disappointed at all! These are computer 2.1 speakers right? They are and more, you can hook up any portable media device, tv, etc with these! and I will tell you this, they are LOUD, the BASS is deep, the treble is great. I use these to watch a blu ray movie with my PS3, play video games perfect for RB3, also I plug my portable android device, ipad, or any portable media player, these are awesome. And yes, if you are looking for something compact and wanting some surround sound action, you won't go wrong with these! They do go on sale from time to time so keep your eye out for price change at your local Best Buy. Now if there was a CON, I would have to say that the only way to turn them off...is unplug them from the wall outlet, Now on the demo unit at Best buy it had a switch on the back of the sub you could turn on or off...HUH? Go get this U will LUV IT!!!
What's great about it: Sound, Bass, set up, smaller finally packs a PUNCH!
What's not so great: No turn of switch on the back of the SUB like displayed

This is the cd that started it all with Guru and Jazz influence. Love transit ride with brandford marsalis. catchy tune..for sure. other songs have a good beat and nice jazz touch. Loungin.............. RIP Guru. you have definitely left a mark on Hip/hop and the jazz mix! Get this cd!
What's great about it: If you like Jazz and hip hop beats this is the cd for you!
What's not so great: some songs a little off

I purchased this surger protector last year. Its been working great for me, Love it. great price for what I get. I have all my big $$ items hooked up to this. LCD HDTV, PS3, Surround sound/SUB, DVD. Remember that you must be on a grounded circuit to get the benefits of saving your componets in case of a surge. the indicator light will tell you once you plug it into a receptacle. I will buy another one of these for my Aquarium. Thanks Best Buy!

Love this DVD so glad I now have the complete collection of this TV series. this is a must have for your sci fi shelf. Now it is 80's humor/drama let me warn you. However if you liked the series back then.. it will grab your attention and you will be strolling down memory lane, like when you were watching this show on TV when it aired! Good buy and Great price! Note though the Dvd quality is what it is..so don't be expecting 1080p/hd quality.. its an old show that was captured in a capsule of time! ENJOY....watch out for the LIZARDS THEY are COMING! SSSSSSSSSS

Great Game with Legos and Rockband WOW!

I got this game on Black Friday. Great Game. opened it up put it in my PS3 and was off and running. love the tracks it came with. its fun playing in story mode building enviroments and getting lego characters, good all around fun with my family. love the no kick pedal mode. nice change for kids to play easy and have fun. Its awesome you have all the same modes as you would with RB2. love to create my own lego characters by customization. only problem I have with this game is that you cannot play online with others! GOOD Game GREAT BUY. for your rockband collection

What's not so great: no online play

Best Super Mario game EVER!

I purchased this game based on other reviews and watching a online review of this game. Love the Mario Bros line... so nice they have made a better version for the wii. this is fun watching my kids play. I enjoy picking up the remote and playing this also. Great they kept the sideway play remote feature on this game. the graphics are so cool with challenging gameplay for all ages. Multiplayer is awesome now I need 2 more wii remotes! imagine playing the mario bros line with 4 players! This is a must buy for not only the holiday season but to play with your family and friends. So glad I picked this up. Thanks for helping me with a Best buy purchase!

Wii fit with a plus!

I had to purchase this installment of wii fit plus the first one was uh not really that great...it had some fun activities but nothing like wii fit plus.. the plus in wii fit is a nice touch! Love the snowball fight.. and the more options for balance, yoga, training, and of course more in depth when we talk about my wii fit plus..and you can do more planned and focused workouts to get the most of the wii fit plus. I wish nintendo would of come up with this installment first... more activity, more fun, and its a little more challenging! The kids love it too! now some games more repetative in nature and you will find yourself wanting to switch to something else soon. But for some of the games that you enjoy playing you end of playing over and over again! A must buy for your wii fit balance board as well. Cannot go wrong with this purchase..bottom line if you want more wii fit plus then you love what it has to offer. Go out and purchase this! Good for family fun and burning some calories.
What's great about it: Better than the first good activities!

I bought this Wireless G router due to getting tired of DSL. The install is so easy put the disk in and go thru their set up guide. connection is easy. was up and running in about 10 minutes. the Range is very good. I live in a old house 1941 and My wife needed to be able to use her laptop around the house with no cords! Now I have a PS3 downstairs that I needed wireless connectivity and was worried being I was in a basement down a level. well no problems when I scanned the range I got 95% better than my DSL service from before. Then next I have input some wireless G adapters that I needed for my computers so I can do some networking in the basement as well. connecting those was easy my range I got 73% which is honestly GREAT. Cannot go wrong with this G Router I would buy more if needed. Suggestion I would hook that Modem to a surge protector so it doesnt fry. Great PRICE Great BEST BUY ThanK you~

What more is there to say than to be able to play the beatles on RB format this is awesome, gameplay is nice and fluid, the menu is easy for set up! and the Songs oh the Songs are awesome for all ages! bought for the PS3. This is a must have collection. the imagery in the background while playing is refreshing and cool! This is a must buy!

Can I run Apple TV through my dvd player HDMI port?
My HDTV does not have a HDMI port, but my DVD player does. Can i run the Apple TV hdmi cable directly into my DVD player hdmi port? My DVD player is connected to my TV with standard red/white/yellow plugs.

I have an older sony receiver...can I connect the optical to it and assign it to video 1?
optical should work, however I believe that you will need hdmi connection to have apple TV work at its best!

I have been to two Best Buy stores in the last week and tried to order it online, but I can't do it. What is the scoop Best Buy?
I know the product is available from Apple, why isn't it available in any of your stores or on your website? This is really frustrating
honestly if you want it really bad, go to apple store. but if you can be patient and just keep calling best buy and see if they have in. just be patient if you can. you like Apple Tv when you get, I know the apple store has plenty. the future of apple TV will improve.

Will this work from my PC to TV with just regular Hulu (free shows)?
I use Hulu to catch shows my recorder messed up on or a local news bulliten interrupted but it is the items that are free. also from the major networks (ABC, NBC, Fox, CBS). If I pull up the show on my computer will it go to my wireless Vizio so the whole family can watch it on the TV even though it is playing on the computer?

I don't think it will do from your PC to apple TV, you should just hook up a netbook or laptop to hulu then have it go thru your vizio...right now hulu thru other media devices has control, they want the consumer to pay for there service, but on the internet on your PC you can stream content.

it could be verizon connection, I have comcast, also look where your apple TV is placed is it close to the router? also are there any other devices that could interfere with the connection. That will be your troubleshooting you would need to do. Mine paused a couple times with Comcast, understand that APPle TV this model has no on board memory but can do updates from Apple, so improve it will. be patient.

no, but soon you will, apple Tv's potential has not been maxed out yet! stay tuned. more firmware updates coming i am sure.

I have been trying to buy this from Best Buy for the past week, but it is not available in-store or by shipping. When will this again become available? It would be nice to be able to put this on back-order, so it would ship when it becomes available.

Now, you have to call your local best buy to see if they are in stock, otherwise you can order from .com website and they will deliver to you, also buy from the apple store they have plenty.

You will have to have an internet provider plain and simple, once you have this provider ie: comcast, Qwest, fios etc. Now you can connect wirelessly thru that modem by setting up thru your PS3 or by ethernet cable.
