An okay game

When I played this game at first I thought it was totally great, I only purchased guns and swords whilst totally negating the magic abilities and various technology upgrades. The reasoing for this was I expected the game to be a carbon copy of Counterstrike, but with different races and such with other miniscule upgrades. That is not the case at all; this game requires you to adapt and use the magical abilities and technology to overcome the enemy. After attempting to use magic and tech I got fairly good at it, but it got really boring quite fast. If anyone wants to play a round-based shooting game they should head straight for Counterstrike:Source for the computer which I believe I purchased for half the price of Shadowrun with 1000% the satisfaction. Counterstrike:Source also offers free online play as well as clean graphics and great round-based combat. Overall you should avoid this title and stick to Counterstrike.
What's great about it: Counterstrike Style Gameplay
What's not so great: No Campaign, Boring after a week
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you're a fan of classic metal look no further than The Number of the Beast. This is one of Maiden's greatest release in terms of albums; if you want to become a fan then start here with this cd. Personal favorite tracks: 22 Acacia Avenue, The Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, and Gangland.
What's great about it: Amazing tracks by an amazing band

Stunning concept and story

When I first saw a glimpse of this game I believe it was in Nintendo Power or some other gaming magazine. I was immediately entranced by the idea of toppling these mobile mountains. Like many other games, I bought this game a long time after it came out and I had long forgotten about it. I purchased it for a low price of $19.99 which is great for what you get in return. Bringing down the various colossi in different and always interesting ways is just a complete load of fun. Attempting to solve each puzzle of how to destroy each colossus will keep you solving for hours and beating each colossus will give you a great sense of achievement . This game is a must buy!
What's great about it: Amazing graphics, gameplay and extremely interesting
What's not so great: Many would argue that it takes forever to travel to the Colossi but they don't realize this adds to the whole experience

Ok, but not great

I was really anticipating Gears of War to be a great game and at first I wasn't denied, but after about a week of playing this game with several friends it got extremely redundant. The controls are enough to drive anyone insane and the online gaming atmosphere is just downright unpleasant. Overall, if you enjoy fast-paced nausea and third person shooters then I would recommend this title, but if you enjoy first person shooters the same then there are countless other titles out for you to enjoy without the headaches from this game.
What's great about it: Fun with friends, okay storyline
What's not so great: Awful online enviroment, not fun after a week or two, nauseating gameplay
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A solid title

Halo 3 is an extremely solid title and I'm sure most would say that it's the greatest multiplayer title out to date, but Halo 3 is extremely repetitive which some could say about most shooters, but that's just my opinion. The maps in this installment of the Halo series are a serious dissappointment in comparison to the maps in Halo 2 or even the first Halo. some are hugely successful such as Higher Ground and Valhalla, but overall the maps leave something to be desired. Some additions were made that I absolutely love such as the mongoose and the new shiled system but overall this game was a step down from Halo 2.
What's great about it: Great multiplayer w/ online capabilities, solid story
What's not so great: Boring maps

The most in-depth story in a videogame, ever
on February 4, 2008

This game has the most in-depth story line of any videogame to date. The outcomes of many events rely on the players decisions which can be thrown at them in a moments notice. After a few days of playing you'll be addicted to finishing and you'll feel as if you are Commander Shepard, voyaging through space and defeating corrupt aliens. The battling system is great for a third-person shooter (although I only played as 1 class out of the available 5.) The only reason I gave this game a 4 is that it has horrible replay value. Personally, the first run through I was so addicted I told myself I was going to get all the achievements, but when I had finished and started a new game I was so turned off by the repetitiveness of the story (while many events are based on your decisions the main plotline is linear in the fashion with which you complete the game.) Another hang-up I have is that this game would be amazing with multiplayer, which is saying a lot for a third-person shooter.
What's great about it: Great story, easy controls, multiple-ending based on player decisions, awesome achievements
What's not so great: Horrible replay value, no multiplayer
I would recommend this to a friend!
