This movie is one of the funniest since the 40 year old virgin and may even be more funny than that. The story incorporates tons and tons of funny material that will keep you laughing the 20th time through.
What's great about it: Great story with hilarious input throughout
"The #1 Thriller of All Time" comes to DVD as part of Hollywood Pictures' Collector's Edition series. Fans of M. Night Shyamalan's ingenious supernatural story will revel in the 1.85:1 widescreen (enhanced for 16 x 9 televisions) format and 5.1 Surround Sound which fully capture the intricate details of the film and tangible paranormal presence. What makes this DVD especially enjoyable, however, is the multitude of behind-the-scenes features, many of which are narrated by Shyamalan and other key crew members. Included are a French-language track; a "Storyboard to Film Comparison" of the anniversary dinner scene; cast and crew interviews; a fascinating "Music and Sound Design" presentation that illustrates how the incredibly creepy background track was created; and "Reaching the Audience," an explanation of how word of mouth made this movie the cultural phenomenon it became. Also included are "Rules and Clues," a guide to the hints threaded throughout the movie before its explosive, surprise ending; four deleted scenes, one of which is an extended finale; and an interview with Shyamalan in which he talks about his background and how it affected his filmmaking. Theatrical and TV trailers as well as cast and crew biographies round things out. Finally, viewers should click on the beribboned box for a real treat -- Shyamalan's first horror film, "Nightmare on Old Gulf," which was written, produced, directed, and starred in by the film phenom when he was 11 years old.

The Best

This movie is pure fun and horror enjoyment. This movie also has the best ending i have EVER seen. This is Night's best title yet to date
What's great about it: Eveything you want in a good thriller
Overall this movie is fun to watch (especially at night), but honestly, what was Shamaylan thinking when he made the aliens die from water???(what type of threat would they be to humanity if water killed them?????)
What's great about it: Excellent acting and suspence
What's not so great: What type of ending is that??
Wes Craven's Scream became a box-office blockbuster and breathed life into the nearly dead slasher genre. This DVD of the film is an improvement over all previous editions. The disc offers a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. The closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. There are no subtitles on this release. Supplemental materials include a pair of commentary tracks (one from the director and another from writer Kevin Williamson), interviews with the cast and crew, theatrical trailers, television promotional spots, cast and crew profiles, making-of footage, and a special effects gallery. No matter what one thinks of the film, this is a superb DVD from Disney/Buena Vista.

Percise

The acting in this movie (along with everything else in this movie ) is percise to the capital P becase basically eveyting is configured in such a good way that it is almost impossible to change it to make it look any better. The acing is great, the storyline is great, and the dialouge will be rmembered forever (ex. "What's your favorite scary movie" or"Hello, Cindy").The one and only default is that it is very predictible, once you see a character, you can pretty much tell if he/ or she is going to die. If you love scary movies and have never seen this please do me a favor and go buy it now!
Overall Cloverfeild brings a new asepect to the horror genera. I know that we have all seen or heard of Alien and/or Predetor, but Cloverfeild puts you in a competely diffrent realm. This horror is constuced through the sepense and effect captured and brings to life. Though the acting can get caught up, don't let it distract you because this movie is based on REAL life from a home camera perspective, this makes the actng a little chessey beacuse in REAL life no one would acutually run towrad the moster than away from it. One of the best action/drama films of 2007, a 5 out of 5 is completlydeserved.
What's great about it: Pretty much everything
What's not so great: Some acting can get caught up but don't let it distract you
If you like WWII and love stories, then buy this movie. Overall, the action is intense but the storyline sort of ruins the war aspect to it, though this movie is of a 5 out of 5 potential, it only gains the respect of 4 out of 5
What's great about it: Excellent picture, sound quality, effects, and casting
What's not so great: Stoyline breaks from time to time
This film was one of the first "horror" movies that i saw in the theaters, and now with the raise in ticket prises, the only movies i go to see are the horror movies. From the getco, stephen king entangles you with his amazing storyline and dramatic ending. Although the acting is a blotchey at spots, this movie deserves full credit for it's unique and originall story. ( recommended for the M. Night Shamylan fans )
What's great about it: Excellent storyline, amazing ending
What's not so great: Some acting can get caught up but don't let it distract you
Gary Winick's Big-inspired romantic comedy 13 Going on 30 debuts on DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1., and subtitles are available in both of those languages as well. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Winick as he discusses various aspects of the production, careful to lavish plenty of praise on leading actress Jennifer Garner and male lead Mark Ruffalo. A second commentary track featuring three of the film's producers has a nice slumber-party feel to it, while still offering substantial insight into how the film came together. Deleted and extended scenes, a featurette in which the cast discusses what they were like in high-school, and a pair of '80s vintage music videos round out this solid release from Columbia TriStar.

What the heck?

All I can say is that the movie is very strange on how it incorrporates Jenna's childhood to her "magically" turning 30. The movie is very predictable to where you can almost recite the next line without even have seen the movie. Definatly for young women adolecense who idolise fashion and Jennifer Gardner
What's great about it: Storyline(Ending), and casting
