A Breath of Fresh Air

In a time where bubblegum rock like Boys Like Girls and corporate rock like Hinder rule the radio airwaves, little if ever does one get the opportunity to discover new, innovative music. Thankfully, Four Year Strong is able to do just that; to rise about the generic and bland songs that are so popular today and create their own genre of "happy hardcore" music. This new genre of music includes a combinations of ferocious guitar work aided by melodic lyrics and righteous breakdowns. Some of the more outstanding tracks on the album include "Heroes Get Remembered, but Legends Never Die," "Bada Bing! Wit' A Pipe!," and "Maniac (R.O.D.)" This is the type of album that can bring in fans from many different genres, crossing the lines of hardcore, emo, and punk music. There is no way that everyone should not be able to enjoy this album.

What's great about it: hard paced, fast guitar work blended with soothing vocals with vicious breakdowns and melodic choruses

What's not so great: somewhat of a short album

I would recommend this to a friend!
