Give it a try before writing it off

I originally scoffed when I heard they were making Legally Blonde in a musical but caught part of the MTV broadcast and fell in love with the show. The cast album is awesome and Laura Bell Bundy (Elle) really shines. Give it a listen before, you won’t be sorry.
Standout tracks: Legally Blonde, Chip on My Shoulder, So Much Better, Positive
What's great about it: Laura Bell Bundy is great, the Greek Chorus is awesome
What's not so great: None

Amazing Album from an Amazing Artist
on February 11, 2008

Idina Menzel, known among Broadway fans for originating the roles of RENT's Maureen Johnson and Wicked's Elphaba Thropp, shines in her major label debut. The album has a very pop sound but Menzel's voice is amazing to listen to, no matter what she's singing. Some tracks would have been served better had less been going on in terms of production, but that's only one downside to a great album.
Standout tracks (I swear I have a new favorite song everyday): "I Feel Everything", "Where Do I Begin", "My Own Worst Enemy", "Forever" and "Brave"
What's great about it: Idina's voice hands down
What's not so great: It's a tad overproduced but its easy to get past that after a few listens

Chenoweth's and Menzel's voices standout from this remarkable ensemble and harmonize amazingly together. Both embody their characters amazingly as they take you on the journey that G(a)linda and Elphaba undertake until the heartbreaking and uplifting finale.
What's great about it: Wonderful, wonderful voices, lyrics and story
What's not so great: None
