Solid Album

This is a solid Rob Zombie album. Has a bit more punch than Educated Horses but it's no Hellbilly Deluxe. The down side is it's short and would like to here more new songs.

The American Colonies, 1775. It's a time of civil unrest and political upheaval in the Americas. As a Native American assassin fights to protect his land and his people, he will ignite the flames of a young nation's revolution. Assassin's Creed III takes you back to the American Revolutionary War, but not the one you've read about in history books.

Disappointed. Not as good as I hoped.

Never played any AC games until I preordered AC III. I got for series reputation and era of the game. After I pre-ordered I played all AC games in order. I liked AC II the best and Brotherhood and Revelations weren't up to par. The game starts slow, I'm in Sequence 6 now, about 8 hours in. Too many animated scenes, not enough game play. The side missions are more challenging but also you may need to play the game twice to build your "base" like the other AC games. A lot is unexplained in the timeline of the sequences, like how or why are you're in one place or the other. If I'm correct the main character seems to grow about a foot in one year and looks like he's 10 years older. I look forward to the Desmond missions now. Didn't play much multi-player in other AC but from the little I did play it looks the same as the others. No clue why this won so many awards at E3. Maybe the graphics. Don't expect to see anything you saw in the commercial until many hours into the game. I'm really hoping it gets better and lives up to hype. I don't suggest this game unless you wait until it's $20.
What's great about it: Graphics, scenery, horses are back.
What's not so great: Bloated, controls changed from all other AC games, slow story build up.

Poor 3D, Find the Director's Cut
on October 18, 2012

I had been waiting for Avatar 3D to be rereleased for a while. After watching it, the wait wasn't worth, nor was the $25 I spent on it. Maybe I'm jaded because I first saw it theaters in IMAX 3D. The first bluray release was great because it's all we had to choose from. Then came the Director's Cut which blew me away. The remastering gave me the same effect in 2D that I had watching it on 3D. I hoped the 3D bluray would be just as good as the Director's Cut, but it's not. It appears to be a low quality version of the original bluray release. All the bright images are missing. Most notabley the artifacts that seem to float in front of your face and you try to brush them away. There are moments where the jungle seems alive but it's mostly an unartistic glimpse into the depth of the picture. Save your money for the rerelease of the Director's Cut in 2D.
What's great about it: It's Avatar
What's not so great: Poor 3D transfer, makes for poor viewing

This review is for the bluray disc only.

This review is not of the movie, which I love and why I want it on bluray, the review is of the actual bluray disc. I bought the movie and exchanged it twice all for the same problems: on my Sony bluray player after the Touchtone splash screen it would shut down the player. On my PS3 it played fine but only has 2.1 PCM 48Hz audio, no Dolby 5.1 HD. My player and PS3 have recent updates. Hopefully you will get a good disc to enjoy the movie to its fullest.
What's great about it: Very good story and acting.
What's not so great: The disc won't play or won't play with 5.1 sound.

Worth Every Penny!

I wanted to see this in the theaters but didn't get to, with even a sale price of $27.99 it was a bit expensive but I was able to use the $5 coupon offered during opening week. That said, if I paid full price for this movie it's worth it. Do you like Rocky? Do you like heart warming stories? Do you like robots? This movie has some cliches but the movie is made so well, story, timing, picture, it all works to make it unique to me. I was rooting for Atom out loud and don't be surprised if you get teary eyed. It's a good movie and I think everyone can enjoy it.

Least Liked Call Of Duty Game
on November 24, 2011

I got a next gen system years ago to play Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare and since have played World At War, Modern Warfare 2, and Black Ops. As for story and desire to replay the stories, I really like the story line of World At War and Black Ops. Well written, easy to follow. I'm lost on Modern Warfare, still hard to tell who it who, where I am, what I'm doing, even more, why do I really care? Modern Warfare was good but I got lost from there. The stories are too short, too many characters, and as far as MW3, the mission are pretty ridiculous. More fast, but it you do, you die. I can't decide if this is supposed to be an arcade mode or "realistic". And I can't even figure out what the scene was I had to agree I wanted to see. So story, disappointing. Elite and Founders for Hardened Edition, a joke. Get the preorder and if you don't know by now, Activision wasn't ready for the load on the server and it's still not correct. The multiplayer is probably the least fund of all the games. If you're into multiplay for fun, hope don't get into a game with hardcore players because it's not fun at all. The game seems totally geared toward them. Aside from MW2 and Black Ops getting hacked, I prefered them more. And why they still have ridiculous jumping physics in there is beyond me. It's unrealistic and highly annoying. All that said, I don't suggest this game.
What's great about it: Can't think of one thing that's "great"
What's not so great: Rushed story and multiplayer caters to hardcore players not people who like to game for fun

Razor Included

I have nothing bad to say about this show. I love it and will be sad to see it go. I'm writing a review because I'm sad that Universal is basically charging the fans ftwice or Razor, that is, if you already have a copy like I do. The 4.0 season could be a few bucks cheaper if they excluded Razor. They should have offered a rebate for those of us who already own it. I'll get season 4.0, but having two copies of Razor will irk me.
What's great about it: Everything, you don't have to like SciFi to like this show.
What's not so great: Razor included in set.

Contact WB
By HPfan375 from Alabama
I was dissapointed that I could not get the Itunes version with the digital copy that I purchased. I went to the WB website and wrote a complaint to the customer service department. The following day they e-mailed me a code to download the copy in Itunes. Worth a shot, sounds like they are trying to fix the problem with unhappy customers.

Best Advice, Let WB Know!
November 26, 2011
I came to give another horrible review of UltraViolet like I did when I bought Green Latern. This review is most productive though, yes, let's tell our fellow consumers to avoid UltraViolet. More importantly, tell WB you don't like it! Then they will know. Will we get download codes like HPfan75 did? Who knows. But if we don't tell WB they won't know and this will continue. CinemaNow and UltraViolet are "digital copies" but won't work without a WiFi connection and We Don't Like It! Tell WB!

The Best Buy steel book for this is missing the 2D disc. Only on the 2D disc is there the director's commentary.

Read the label
November 9, 2013
How to avoid this from happening to you? Read the label that clearly states it only comes with the 3D blu-ray. I typically won't post a comment like this but I think it's unwarrented to give the product a one star rating because you bought the wrong one by not reading the label.

Extremely disappointed with Sony
By shewolf217 from Mt. Pleasant, SC
I know I am one of about 4 people on the entire planet that complains about the Sony PS3 but geez what a waste of money! Let me set the stage here: my brother asked for this the year after it was officially released. By then the price had dropped a bit and my dad bought him the console for Christmas. Keep in mind, my brother and I live together and we each have an XBOX 360 console. He had the XBOX 360 before the PS3. We got it set up, my brother played it maybe 3 times before the console literally died. It was brand NEW! He played it 3 times and it DIED. Well since it was within warranty, my dad called Sony customer service and was hoping they would be able to help us out with either a new console or a refurbished one. They did absolutely neither! Sony's customer service is terrible and so was the PS3! $400 down the drain. What a waste. Thank God my brother's XBOX still works.

Why not return it?
May 5, 2014
Did you try returning it to Best Buy because it was only 3 days old? It's a shame you spent $400 last Christmas when the holiday bundles went for $200ish with 2 games. Sucks you had a bad experience.

Decent laptop for the price, but be aware...
By Ericg
I purchased this laptop because it was cool looking and for the price the configuration is pretty good (i.e. RAM, Video Card, etc.).
I have since returned the laptop and got my money back. Here is why...
- The hard drive while large in capacity is VERY slow to boot up and is equally slow at performing basic tasks
- There is no recovery CD, Driver CD (or any CD for that matter) that comes with this laptop. The hard drive is partitioned with a recovery program to reset the PC or take it back to factory settings. However, if the hard drive crashes or you want to put a new hard drive in (say an SSD), then you are screwed. I contacted both Best Buy and HP and was basically told to pound sand. HP does have an option to purchase (for $25.00 plus shipping) a recovery CD/DVD, but they didn't have this model available for some reason, so HP sent me back to Best Buy :-( The Best Buy geek squad did have an option to possibly ghost the factory image to a CD/DVD, but they were not 100% sure about that
- The NVIDA 2GB graphics card was in this laptop, but for some reason, Windows 10 was using the Intel graphics card on the system board so even though the NVIDA control panel was installed, the computer would only run using the Intel card so it was eating up 4GB of the 8GB RAM as graphics RAM. Geek Squad thought that the NVIDA card might "kick in" when the computer was tasked hard, but I couldn't get it to switch and they didn't have the time to look at it while I was right there, so this never was resolved
- There is no mouse pad nor mouse that comes with the laptop. While this is not a huge deal, I couldn't even find a Star Wars mouse to purchase #either from Best Buy or HP# which matches the mouse shown in the description. You can buy the Star Wars sleeve for 40 bucks, but no mouse or pad that I could find
The round around that I got was so bad that I decided to just return the laptop and live to fight another day. Its too bad because it was very cool looking.

Thank for your replies
November 21, 2015
Everyone, thank you for your replies to the original review. I was concerned about buying the laptop because of the review but I went ahead and got it anyway. I had an issue using an ethernet when trying to download a movie from iTunes. It would recognize the network connect but then disconnect, go back to wifi and then it would try the network again. I talked to Geek Squad phone support, they set me up an appointment and they were very helpful. The ethernet drivers were reinstalled and everything seemed correct. We didn't test iTunes though. I got home and the same issue happened again. I did searches on Verizon FIOS to see if that was an issue but then put two and two together and noticed the network connection only dropped after trying to download a movie or album. There was some good info on the Apple forums that said the issue could be I didn't run the iTunes installation as an administrator. I should have known better. I called the Geek Squad back at my store and gave them an update. They decided it was best to reset the laptop and setup it up fresh again. This wasn't an issue because I only had the laptop two days. The reset is running as I type this. The Geek Squad rep said if this didn't work to bring the laptop back and they will swap it out with a new one.
Point of my very long story is your replies are very helpful and there are wonderful people at my local Best Buy stores Collegeville and King of Prussia PA that have always, and I mean always, have helped me out.
