If you've ever truly been a fan of funk/soul, or have decided to peruse the genre, then here's the cornerstone. With a beautiful high-pitched, singing voice, backed some of the most beautiful and "mood-setting" music, Rev Green sings about love in a way that will forever be remembered until the end of time.

What's great about it: The signature Al Green sound.
What's most impressive about A$AP Rocky's debut is his reluctance to stray away from the weird that he brings to the sanctity of East Coast Hip Hop. Rocky's not only an innovator, but also a huge fan of different genres of music as he consistently incorporates various sounds as sort of a gratuitous gesture for having influenced his style. However, with such experimentation can come some failures. The obvious is the ode to his woman in "Fashion Killa". The entire song completely robs the vibe that stemmed from "1 Train" and recovers very well on the self-reflective "Phoenix". Overall, extremely solid and well-handled effort.
Frank Ocean's brand of R'n'B not only stem from the eccentricities of both Prince and Freddie Mercury, but they also derive from the emotions of an honest man singing about his conflicted upbringing and about some of the other juxtapositions of society.
