Awesome as a lap top and windows tablet. Although most of the time I use it as a lap top and use it as a tablet only when I stream video (from my satellite tv provider, Netflix, etc.) Battery life is about 5-6 hours at full brightness and about 7-9 hours at a notch below which is excellent.
Highly recommended.

The current firmware version for the headphones is 5.4, however, mine has 4.0. The JBL support site mentions that if you have version 4.x, you need to tether the headphones to a computer with a microUSB cable and do an initial update to 5.4, after which future updates will happen wirelessly via the iOS/Android app. The firmware download link lands on a page that says 'no updates available'. It isn't yet possible to download a current version of the firmware. A huge issue with version 4.x firmware at which if you watch video it lags.
JBL support (from overseas I assume!) after 1 hour hold are clueless and useless.
Sound quality for music is pretty decent.

OK tablet, bad reoloution!

This is ok for a 10 year old to play games.
The 1280 x 800 resolution compare to a same resolution on a Samsung tab is much worse. No wonder they are cheap.

I have owned this for 3 days and I am satisfied, especially considering the cost ($599 on sale). I have a Surface 3 and this is an improvement. Bigger screen, better touchpad, superior keyboard, faster processor, more ram and more storage space for less money. Battery life is about 6-8 hours depending on what I am doing, I keep the screen at full brightness most of the time, I carry it with me for business use, surf, check email and watch Netflix and listen to music. Some of the reviews have complained about the sound and suggest using a third party audio manager, but there is the Bang and Olufsen software included which made all the adjustments I needed to improve the sound quality. When I first plugged in my headphones there was no sound. After I investigated I discovered that you have to turn on the headphones in the Bang and Olufsen software. One other issue that I have is that Chrome browser (both 32 and 64 bit) is crashing frequently. I haven't had time to research if there is fix for that yet. If it continues I will use Firefox.
This comes set up for Verizon 4glte. They give you another $150 off for activation and a 24 month contract which I declined. I use AT&T and tried to get it to work, but no luck. I did not think it would, but no cost but some time to try. You can skip the contract and just sign up with Verizon on a monthly plan if you wish or just tether to you cell phone.

Very easy solution. Right click chrom icon on desktop and choose troubleshoot compatibility then troubleshoot and choose windows 8.

Soooo, I just this gaming laptop today and installed the antivirus, windows update and steam. And my biggest problem is why is it my laptop keeps restarting?? Is this broken or something or what? I need help bestbuy!! It happened more than 4 times

Well if you just bought this and you're having this problem, do not listen to Dell just take it back to Best Buy and exchange it.
